I tutor a fifth grader and some of the things that come of his mouth make my day, haha. Here are a few funny ones. Me: So, do you know anything about Gandhi? 5th Grader: No, well maybe. Me: Take a guess 5th grader: He killed Abe Lincoln? Me: No... 5th Grader: Then! He killed George Washington!!!!!! Me: No, and I think George Washington just died of old age, no one killed him... 5th Grader: George Washington's a NOOB. Me: Why do you think they have a Caste System in India? 5th Grader: Because they are all noobs? Me: True. So true. Me: You know, in India, if you went to McDonalds, you couldn't get a hamburger... 5th Grader: (Inaudible screaming) WHATT?! I WOULD EAT HAMBURGERS ANYWAY! I WOULD SMUGGLE THEM IN AND EAT THEM AND JAIL! THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO ME! I AM AN AMERICAN AND WE INVENTED ELECTRICITY! WITHOUT US, INDIA WOULD HAVE NOTHING!!!!!!! Me: Well, they've been around a lot longer then America you know... 5th Grader: No. Me: Yes. 5th Grader: No Me: Yes. 5th Grader: No. Me: You are right. You are so right. Put that in your report, ok? That basically sums up MY day today. I have no idea what a noob is, but he hasn't called ME a noob yet, so I think that's a good thing? I hope so. AWESOME. I love my life. Hahaha!
when I first read this I thought it said 5 year old. I thought "why is a 5 year old learning about india". Then I re-read the title lol
haha.. thats freakin helarious.. this morning one of my friends called me and asked if i could take her kids to daycare for her so i came and picked her up and her kids and when i was dropping them off shes like "say thank you" and her 2y/o was like "thank you.. thank you.. thank you..." lol it was funny and cute

Yeah, he's a great kid. He always eats my food though, but that's ok, he needs brain fuel. I need to teach him how to play cricket tomorrow, and I have no idea how to play. It's going to be fantastic! And Boston is great. The seasons are great, we have the best sport teams in the universe, there's a ton to do...BUT I'm pretty sick of living here though because a lot of people are assholes and have no common manners but there is pretty much no better place to go to school than New England IMO.
lol i had a simliar experience, i was watching a friend of mine's two kids a 5 yr old boy and a 3.5 yr old girl. girl: why do we have to visit grandma tomorrow? boy: cuz she's is really really old, dummy!
My all time favorite job was being a preschool teacher and at the end of the year we had this awesome art show for the kids. My class was 3 and 4 year olds and we made little artist bio's. One of my kids drew a picture of a Christmas tree and when we asked her what it was she said "This is baby Jesus. He's my best friend." And we asked them who their favorite artists were the answers ranged from Daddy, to their pets, to furniture in the classroom to colors to Eric Carle. I love kids
