Yeah, this was before I came to accept the fact that right and wrong do not exist, like back in December, took me a while.

    Look, here's the bottom line:

    Forget morality and ethics.
    Forget human rights
    Forget religion

Just follow the benfit vs negative strategy and you're fine.

Okay, if you can save 5 people of equal worth by killing one, there's your benefit, that's the shortest example I can come up with.

I can think of something good about fascism-- fascist architecture is actually quite beautiful. I mean, one thing Nazi Germany did manage was to make some really beautiful buildings, as well as a lasting symbology and distinct identity... all of which were destroyed in the war.

The intense nationalism present in a fascist system does provide the people with a distinct identity, which is definitely beneficial. The problem is that fascism also excuses all kinds of aggression, and with all the nations of the world accepting their identity, it would of course encourage segregation, which would ultimately keep the human race divided... which may or may not be a bad thing.

I suppose that if the world was made up of a series of fascist nations that left each other alone, it would probably be a good thing... but the military aspect of fascism often means that everyone in the nation is obsessed with their own magnificence, and believes that they have a divine purpose.

At the same time, it would be good if all the ethnic minorities of the world could have a chance to rediscover (or in some cases recreate) their own identity, apart from the influence of American culture, which ultimately posits the image of the white European male as the ultimate standard to which all people must aspire... in a fascist world, and I mean fascist without military, economic, or cultural conquest... things could actually be a lot better.

In capitalism, the group with the most money controls how things are, and everything is interconnected on their terms, and under their identity. This is why we have militant organizations like the black panthers-- sometimes you need to fight to reclaim your roots, and you have to fight to preserve your identity. I mean, here you have an entire RACE that has been taught to despise itself by the media... that's really fucked up!!!

Fascists have given us countless movie villans. And let's face it, fascists from the 30's and 40's were snappy dressers.

yeah the Soviet Union, the largest imperialist super power in the world of its time, unstable? your a moron.

no, true communism would be no state, no class, no money, worker control of the means of production. how would communism lead to tyranny of the majority, quit making ridiculous claims with out anything to back it up.

No, thanks to WW2 fascism became covert (im saying this out of reasoning, dont bitch to me about not having evidence). the United States could be called fascist, so could the european union, and china is fascist for sure. all of them have militarist governments, ideological domination of government, imperialist foreign policy, the same as fascist germany, italy, spain. IMO the soviet union post Stalin is fascist.

capitalism (fascism is capitalist) has lead to the most deaths, not "communism". capitalsim has had 250 years of killing to do, "communism" has had less than 100.

you are completely wrong. the dictatorship of the proletariat isnt a "dictatorship". keep in mind when marx wrote about the "DOP" it was in the 19th century, dictatorship didnt mean the samething it does doday. getting on with my point, theoretically, the DOP is supposed to lead to Communism (a stateless classless money less society) not a "communist state". "mobocracy"? how do you suppose that would happen? do you even know what your talking about?

communism would result in complete liberty of everybody, because there would be no state to oppress the masses. And there IS basis in reality for communism, [see Anarchist-communist catalonia, Paris Commune, Yugoslavia(as a good example of socialism)]

now that im done responding to that stupid arguement, What have the fascists ever done for us? if were going to go by the official fascist states ( italy, germany, spain) then all they have done for their people is restrict their freedom. sure they may have done some economic and infrastructural progress, but at the expense of millions of lives simply because of race, ethnicity, religion, etc.

If there was one TV channel in the US, or maybe one TV News channel, that might make sense. But there are hundreds of channels, and dozens of news channels. Even as the most popular news network CNN reached less than a quarter of the population, and regular viewers are even smaller as a proportion of that.

Sneering at CNN is just cliche posturing.

I'm sure that, under fascism, global warming would be a hell of a lot easier to control. You could simply have your soldiers walk down the streets and take people's cars away from them. If they don't like it, TOO BAD.

If the factory owners were whining about how they won't make any money now, TOO BAD. And if anyone else tried to open up a polluting factory anywhere else in the world, we could go into their country and kill them, rape their women, kill their children... and everyone in our country would cheer.

Fascists do tend to have clear ideals, values and discipline, as well as a pronounced sense of patriotism. You wouldn't have to worry about people protesting the war, they'd get behind you OR ELSE.

A lot of the big issues we are currently facing could easily be solved under a fascist system. One of the biggest problems with today's Western society is that everyone is too spoiled and feels too entitled to realize that most of their own most frivolous needs are CONSTANTLY being put ahead of the needs of the planet, the third world, and in a lot of cases basic human decency.

right because creating social unrest, and brutal inequality is going to fix all the other problems besides global warming. sure! lets all become fascists so we can counter global warming! was your post serious?

plus, if we 'fixed' global warming with fascism, we would just have deep rooted social problems.

You're not really arguing for fascism, you're arguing for a dictatorship.

They give the people someone to beat the shit out of without guilt... and they gave the governments of the world an example of a system of strong gun control, an example which has been reproduced the world over.

'Social unrest' would be contained through fear of reprisal, emphasis on patriotism/the nation's rebirth and a steady stream of propaganda. People unwilling to comply would be killed... and then your 'social problems' would disappear completely. Either because the responsible parties would be dead, or because they would be too afraid to come forward. Things like social inequalities would cease to be seen as problems. In fact, fascist Germany and Japan both made huge medical breakthroughs during WWII (which the Americans of course appropriated in exchange for allowing war criminals to go free)... because they experimented freely on the citizens of those countries they had invaded-- the Nazis with the Jews, and the Japanese with the Chinese, Koreans, etc. Under fascism, single human lives become far less valuable than the majority/the species/the race. They could probably cure a lot of diseases...

Honestly, there would be such a shift of priorities that a lot of the big issues we seem to be facing today would cease to be issues completely. No one would care about equality, because under fascism the third world peoples would be thought of as inferior to the first world ones... equality, justice and freedom would cease to be important. The state and how you serve its needs would be the only important thing... to everyone.

Remember, your current ability to speak freely is a luxury. A lot of the 'social problems' that exist nowadays are due to that freedom-- the freedom of everyone to make demands, to complain about their government and their country, to make videos of cops beating kids and post them on the internet without being tracked down and shot...

The notion of 'social problems' as well as whatever other problems you think the world has comes natural to you as you were raised in a wealthy, free, democratic state with emphasis on human rights and freedoms... basically, you are allowed to perceive certain areas as 'problems' because you are free... but if that freedom disappeared, it would only take a few generations under fascism to completely reinvent the psychology of the entire nation, through book-burnings, the complete destruction of the internet and its replacement by a heavily monitored system, the dumbing-down of the populace and an emphasis on populist anti-intellectualism, a massive overhaul of the education system and the media so that it emphasizes the glory of the nation as well as the glory of the state that runs it, etc. Honestly, these kinds of things are happening in other countries as we speak... kids are being taught by their media and their textbook that their country is special and glorious and anyone who says anything different is not to be trusted.

All we need is a major global crisis and a fascist world government could happen very easily. That's why I don't understand all these assholes here who think they want a revolution in the U.S. That's one thing that would almost definitely bring about a fascist world state, and then they would all be killed for being too free in their thoughts.

I would never argue FOR fascism. I am not a fascist and I don't advocate fascism under any circumstances. I was simply stating fact-- if our fate was in the hands of people who were more concerned with human survival as opposed to making money for the already rich, they would be doing everything to solve our problems as we speak... there wouldn't be any legalities or patents to worry about, they could do it BECAUSE THEY CAN DO ANYTHING. Everyone else would just be a soldier, waiting for orders... and they would follow their orders, or else. Of course, I would never want this to happen, but on the other hand I can see how it could make things easier for everyone.

Also, I don't understand what you think fascism is in order to make the comment you just made.

They sentenced my father to death (and my grandfather to 7 years, almost killed my uncles etc.) because they were communists. So I assume that they sentenced ME TOO to death before i was born with all the consequences in terms of considering every fascist as a deadly enemy no matter what. On the opposite side I owe the Royal Army who rescued my father before being put in front of the firing squad an enormous debt of gratitude because if the boys didnt come in at the right time i wouldn't be right now here typing shit. They also were so kind to hand him a funny "certificate of patriot" "Certificato al Patriota " signed by general Alexander (in which they say that the owners of such certificates will be regarded as heroes etc, the things then doidnt go exactly that way - the current meme of berlusconi govenment now is that partisans were bandits and the fascist people in good faith) who now remains in my drawer together with a pile of other old documents to remember me of a father I didn know until I was grown up, and a grand father i could never see. shit i hate feeling like this.
