Okay, so I'll just get right to it. I usually don't post in here because I'm a skeptic about dream theories, but I'd like to know what people think about this. It scared me and I cannot get it out of my head. Sorry, it's a little long, but I thought it was pretty crazy and exciting. Alright, so I'm just walking around my town, it's very normal, i think i'm with my boyfriend and/or my parents. We left this weird Grecian collusium place where my boyfriend and I tried to have sex, but he had blood on him (all over his chest) and we decided not to. Neither one of us was worried, though, and we were just like "oh, that's happening again. oh well" and I handed him a towel and we decided to go walk around town again to look at cars we could buy. Then I notice this big castley hospital. I say to myself, "Oh! Hey! I've been here before in a video game or a dream or something! This is the place that makes me fly and charm snakes" (Hehe, I have no idea.) I sort of float away from my b/f and over this weird moat thing. I see myself and I look blue with light blue hair, holding a pink snake. I land, and I'm back to normal. I notice this guy that I sort of know, we used to be friends, and I shout to him "HEY!" and he's like, "oh, hey, you know I work here? Want me to show you around?" I'm like "sure" and we go in. I've forgotten about i being a hospital. We go in and it looks like the kind of big old fancy shut-down hotel thing we have a lot of in my hometown. I'm a little scared of that, because in real life I always think these are haunted. Anyways, we go in and he's showing me all around, saying he's a professional burglar, and we'll go steal things later and that's what this is, a burglar headquarters. I doubt him, though, because the signs I see as we're descending this staircase say "Shipping" and "Ghosthunting" and "Bank" and that's what they look like as we pass them. I'm very very curious. We get to the bottom of one staircase, and I realize that the stairs behind me have disappeared, as well as my friend, and I'm alone and I have to go down. I get to the bottom, and I see horrible posters of medical procedures (arms coming out of stomachs, things like that), and open doors that I can't quite see inside of, and everyone's wandering around like it's normal. I'm horrified, I remember it's some sort of mental asylum/crazy hospital. I run over and ask a bored looking man if it is. He says yes, and I can feel them all tightening in on me. I'm starting to get more scared. I notice a doctor (in some crazy 1920's uniform) is stalking into a room with a fat woman tied to a bed in it, and there's a picture of an open stomach that looks like a bathtub on the door. I run to the elevator and hit floor "10". No one stops me, and the numbers have been going down as I went down, so 10 would've been the top. The elevator shakes, and I'm scared. A couple and a child join me at floor 52 (i don't know how they're numbered now) , they want to leave too, and we get to 10 finally. It's an aquarium, with a big old gold hotel sign above that says "Aquarium. Please don't feed them". There's a dead man in there in a really really old diving suit with the big circle helmet. We try to stay focused and run out. We're happy, we're escaping through shrubs, and we realize we've lost the woman and child but we can't go back. But then, JUST as we're leaving the gates and getting ready to pass the moat, we're approached. Guards start shooting, and then man either goes down or runs away. My legs are suddenly heavy and I'm running too slow. I get caught by a man with a huge knife. He slashes at my legs, and I don't feel the pain, but as I hit the ground I see a little yellow post-it there that says "It can be, because it happened upon these lines Love, (my signature, but fancier)". I wake up. So... anyone got any ideas what this dream means? I've been trying to interpret it. I can't get anywhere, I'm not very good at this. I'm interested to read replies. Sorry for it being so long. One thing, though. In the beginning and the end, i felt as if though i'd written the whole thing, and got the same relieve from that as if i'd awoken from the dream. haha awesome....you have crazy dreams like me. as for interpretations, personally I believe that dreams are just our brain mumbling up all kinds of experiences and sights we have encountered in the past, and you just get a big random assortment of crazyness. I dont think there is any deep meaning to them. but, I'm going to go ahead and contradict myself, and say that I have had some pretty spiritual intense dreams that just felt so ancient and powerful, but I've never been able to interpret them or figure them out. I just take them for whatever I can get out of them.
I mean, like I said, I'm not big on dream interpreting, I just remember posting a dream a couple years ago and getting some awesome replies. The thing that stood out about this dream was that it was just so intense, and I actually died. I've never died in a dream before. And i left myself that awesome note. I googled that quote. Apparently it's not by anyone. I feel like a poet.
you died, or something happened that in real life would make you die? I "die" in my dreams quite frequently, but I dont die, you know what I mean?
I mean, I was laying there on the ground in my dream, and i was bleeding and I was reading that note and it started getting really blurry and in the dream I was thinking "at least I'm dead, and I'm not in there anymore. at least i'm dying now" and then i woke up.
you know, thats more like an epic sci fi movie...crazy how our dreams turn out. well maybe you astral travelled, cos it seems a bit awesome to me that you could fly
maaaan sorry for a brief input into the discussion, but it's sounds like you had too much acid this dream is full-on freaky!!! it could be a good script for a short amateur film - think about it
other then the people with impliments of bodily mutilation sounds like the kind of ordinary dream i have all the time. i mean, mine arn't about people, even when there's people in them, but its all about strainge geography like that. i think it's great you were able to remember and write down that much of that. since living with anyone i haven't been able to do that, but when i'm alone, well when i was, that was then. anyhow, i'm not saying things like any of that never happen in mine either. there are people there sometimes, and very rarely, the'll be something violent go on or be implied, but usually its the strainge in gratifyingly interesting and not at all threatining ways. the most annoying thing that happens to me sometimes, is teleporting when i'd rather have enjoyed the scenery in between. that and not being able to retrace steps, like to pick something back up once you set it down, because everything behind you has completely chainged if you try to turn around. even that isn't an always though. there IS some stable geography. things like bus routes and public transportation generally reliably always getting you where you expect them to. even if the places themselves are subtly different each time you visit them. =^^= .../\...
