Where is all the peace in this world!?! I was thinking, what happened to it all.. i look back to stories in the 70's and everything is peaceful. Then i look at today, people getting killed, beaten to death and car accidents. What has happened to the world?! People think they are "cool" if they fight, I think it is pure stupidity!! Me and my buddies were hanging out, smoking a few joints and taking a few shots of bacardi's. We were on our way to a party and when we got there, there were at least 300 people on the street. Being high i was so excited because i saw so many hot ladies out there! I know my friends were thinking the same thing too! My friend Joey ran off screaming PARTY!!! He went around talking to everyone and saying they rule. I was walking with him when suddenly 15 guys jumped on him! I was saying stop stop be peaceful ENOUGH VIOLENCE! when suddenly i got punched in the face, i lost it. I couldnt handle seeing one of my best friend getting the shit kicked outta him by 15 guys! I lost it, the peaceful stuff didnt work anymore! I started dragging them off him one by one. I didnt realize that they got up after i dragged them off and started hitting me in the back of the head because i was so high and pissed off! This wrecked my high, all this violence! I believe there is no need for violence but I am happy I helped my friend out, my other friends were kicking the shit outta like 5 of them. I dont believe in fighting but when it comes down to saving your friends you gotta do what you gotta do. I feel bad although I did nothing compared to my other friends, I only punched 2 guys out. This all happened for no reason! Some people go to parties and wait for drunk and high people who CANNOT fight back, and they just jump them! We were all having a fun time and these guys saw us having fun! So they must of thought oh look these guys are having fun..lets beat the shit out of them! These kind of people should burn in hell for all i care, yes it sounds mean but they will obviously be going to hell anyways for this cruel kind of behavior towards your fellow man! I think the world is getting worse and worse, like our planet is another planets hell! This was the badest trip i have ever had in my life and I am never going to a party again with people i dont know! I think this world should be more peaceful, But i know it will never happen! I think our world is just going to get worse and worse.. I feel for my children.
Are you kidding me!? You're crazy if you believe that. Yeah, the 70's were peaceful. There was no war in Vietnam in the early 70's. There were no murders. There were no rape victims. There were no street fights. There were no riots. None of that stuff happened in the 70's. The world really isn't significantly more violent today. The exact same things happened in the 60's and 70's, bud. Well that wasn't too bright, now was it? I think at that point it has become more than a "party." Oh no! Heaven forbid... Haha, I don't think that too many people do that. Most people aren't that lame. That's possible, but it sounds unlikely. Maybe your friend did something to piss one of them off. Meh, there is no Hell. People have been saying that for generations. Most likely, they'll be just fine. It's all right, man. Violence is everywhere, and it always has been. You just have to deal with it and try to avoid situations like this one.
you seem like a nice enough kid... but come on, the world has never been peaceful; humans are prone to violence by nature. you got drunk and high and went to a mob party.... your friend was obnoxious, i'm not saying you guys deserved anything, but you certainly weren't wise. use your brain, guy. Give me a break. If anything, the world has become more peaceful over time. Hell, there used to be public executions all the time. How is that more peaceful?

I'm glad that you are advocating peace. Welcome little brother. But the world has never seen a truly peaceful or non-violent time, 60s or not. Now that you've seen it first-hand for yourself, suddenly the world has become a violent place lately? That's a bit of a generalisation don't you think, just because you got involved in one fight. You were high, they probably had a skinfull of piss, as did you and your buddies... there are always at least two sides to every story. And it is interesting that you complain about increased violence today when you yourself threw a few punches. And how dare they ruin your high...
