There is no significance to 2012 whatsoever. For one, it's used to sell lots of new age books. It also might be used as a sort of predictive programming, so the public will accept the drastic changes leading up to that time as some sort of natural progression of events. If they see it as a natural progression, then they won't resist the coming changes. That's the whole goal of the new age movement, which is to neutralize people and make them passive.

Yes, it's the same agenda that is found in the religions. For instance, Revelations serves the same purpose. People won't resist the changes if they believe that some divine force is behind it. 2012 is simply the new age version of Revelations, but it serves the same purpose of neutralizing the public so they will accept the changes rather than resist.

Yeah the Aztecs invented rubber cement.. You ever smell that shit.. They must of been high making that calendar...
One of the most well known natural polymers is polyisoprene, or natural rubber. Ancient Mayans and Aztecs, in what is now Central America, harvested it from the hevea tree and used it to make waterproof boots and the balls that they used to play a game similar to basketball.

gives me a basketball jones oooo ooooo..

But only if you believe that. There has been a ton of spin and distortion placed on this 2012 stuff.

I believe there is a reason it's being promoted so heavily now (really for the past ten years). It sort of takes advantage of the sense people have that something isn't right in the world. People are looking for answers, and often times they turn to these new age books thinking they're going to find it. It sort of takes their genuine fears and displaces them a bit, to a realm where it's more easy for them to accept.

I think a lot of people know something is going on, but they can't put their finger on what it is. They see the wars, the state of the economy, the bizarre weather, and they are looking for answers. When they turn to these books it sort of puts a whole other twist on things and blurs reality with fiction. I believe that's what many people are looking for. It's sort of a coping mechanism for people, and many people believe it because it's easier to swallow than some of the real reasons for what's going on (which some might call a conspiracy theory).

    That's just my opinion, though.

fiction is easier to believe than the callousness and cruelty of human nature
