Just saw the movie Happiness. Amazing movie but really on the destrurbing side. What are others views of the movie. It shows such a horrific side of our "perfect" "happy" lives, yet there are people who are like many of the characters and struggle from the same problems. In the end, the only person who has "happiness" is the 11 year boy (even though he is completely screwed up for the rest of his life).
that is the most deeply twisted satire i have ever seen! but i did laugh out loud ALOT. i'm even afraid to quote some of the things that were said in it - like "why dont you want to fuck me, dad?" said with a hurt tone of voice!!? wtf? i think i'll go rent it again, so i can comment more on it. cheers for bringing it up - it could start a hellish debate if enough people were to watch it.
Great movie....yet another sterling performance by Philip Seymour Hoffman and Dylan Baker as the Dr/Peadophile was a brave role to take and played so well....not always an easy film to watch...especially when the Father offers to show his son how to masturbate!...lol!...good film.
YEAH! I've seen parts of this on IFC.... God did it weird me out, I only say the last hour or so. So it was dominantly focused on the Dad and the Son trying to... well ya know.... make good. God was that a disturbing little flick.
ok but to put a good spin on it, the kid in the end comes out saying to himself "Yeah! i finally got that right" altho, what is he off to now in his future? (cant get more deeply into it right now...) dont let your dog lick your face either just in case
