Catholicism Protestant Mormonism Jehovah's Witness Eastern Orthodox And so much more... Are they all going to heaven? All claim at least partial authority from the Bible and Jesus of Nazereth. All support their claims with scriptures. Where is the line drawn and who draws it?
Jehova's Witness and Mormon theology are easily refuted by Scripture. The differences between truly Christian denominations are minor by comparison.
Actualy, my views are simply this. Those listed above are not Christians. They are mormons, catholics, protestants, babtists and so on. Those that label themselves in an religion are focused on the man created rules in said religion. Christianity is based on the following of Jesus Christ, hence the name Christianity.
What? No reply on my post? No arguing? You just going to keep listing labels? MM, shut it bro. You go from one in end to the other in no time at all. You are as fake as a blonds breast implants in Hollywood.
i have a question. actually a comment. "hell is boiling over, and heaven is full, we are chained to the world and we all gotta pull" actually it is a quote, from tom waits, and i truly believe that. all we are gonna be is dirt in the ground.
Not sure what you are saying. Did you mean that if you are following one of these divisions you are not a christian because you are following something based on man's rules? Or that you don't have to be one of the mentinoed divisions to be a christian?
Actually, what it boils down to is the plan of salvation. It's laid out clearly in the Bible, yet it's been twisted, turned, watered down, and preached differently.
if they hav all said the prayer of salvation then yes! it dont say in the bible if u do hail mary's ure saved or if u do this that lead a good life...blah blah blah.....but the only way is jesus....some of them may b incorrect in my opinion, and cud hav led life more to gods plans etc.......but if they hav excepted christ then yes....they will go to heaven!
Different denominations of christianity have different serimony. But serimony aside if you follow christ you'll get there. Christ didn't say only christians would get into heaven, he himself was not a christian. he just was.
What i was trying to say, and i'll try to say this as best i can, was, the way christianity devided into many denominations is different than what christ is. he didn't create all the denominations, man did, to either be more on their terms or follow the best way they understand to. Jesus was the perfect example, so, when people teach something other than what he did, then there's the line. So who draws the line? they draw it themselves, by doing things on their terms instead of gods.
dude i shake u by the hand! i cudnt acgree with u more......religion is man made....al the ceromonies and traditions....its not wat god intended.....some of the things in churches ARE biblical, like water baptism and dedicating a child....and communion!but things that some churches do,arnt even mentioned in the bible, and thats where we notice that man are makin up theyre own rules! to me,those things are a bad thing, because it restricts ppl,and it restricts god to wat he wants to do in theyre lives.why put god in a box.....the way god planed the church to b is to b passionate like king david was! so crazy in his worship that ppl wud b offended by it!LOL!.....god longs to see ppl over the nations turning to him instead of tradition and religion, beacause jesus died so he cud hav a relationship with every one of us,not a ceromony! and i knwo its happenin all across the world.....i see ppl turn to god every sunday in church.....this is proof that god is STILL relelevent to ppl today 2000 years after his death!
Good call, all denominations have their flaws but they all point towards the same truth, to follow Jesus.
This is good question and I have been thinking a lot about it. Will have to do something for my blog on it. Thanks for reminding me to try and tackle my thoughts on this one.
