I want to get my septum repierced, but the last time I got it done, they pierced it too high up into the cartilage, so I had to take it out. I had it for about 5 months before I finally took it out, and one thing I noticed is that it never stopped hurting if I pushed up on the tip of my nose. I don't know if it was because it was on the wrong spot, or needed more time to heal, or what, but I don't know if it would have kept on hurting.

I want to get it repierced soon, but I am apprehensive because I don't know if it's always going to hurt when it's pushed up on.

So, any of you who have septum piercings, wanna share your experiences?

I got my septum pierced about 2 years ago and I fucking love it. It took probably 3-4 months to heal completely, that is of couse if you take care of it properly. Also if you get it pierce lower than the cartilage it will not take so much time to heal and hurt so much. Use both fingers to feel your septum and you'll see you still have plently of room before it becomes cartilage.

i found the same thing. although it took about a month for the hole to heal, it took another month or two for the pain of pushing on the nose to go away

it still hurts a lil if i push up on the bottom of my nose, but i think thats just from pushing the metal into the cartelidge

Had mine for about three or four years now. It's been gauged to a six. No pain, discomfort or anything. It healed up in a couple of months and within the first year the weird feeling I got when I puched around on my nose went away. Hands down, it's been my most worry free piercing.

Does it hurt when you try to tuck it in?
I've had my for a few years now and i have no problem tucking it in.
If the balls are too close together that you can't tuck it in without it hurting, you could always go back to where you got it done, and they can stretch the ring out a little so it is wider at the bottom, or sell you a new piece and put it in for you.
