Ive had my dreads for almost two months now and I started with the DHHQ method. Ive recently found out thanks to this forum that wax is not a good way to go and need to get it out. I'm pretty sure Knotty Boy makes a wax removal kit. So what's yalls take on it or should I just wash and scrub? Also ive heard stay away from Lockpeppa why? Last question when I palm roll my dreads usually just spilt down the middle what's up with that?

What is in the wax removal kit? I would think that hot, hot water, time and patience would help get rid of the wax. As far as Lockpeppa goes, it helps make backcombing easier and makes it seem as though the dread is getting tighter. Once you wash the Lockpeppa out, it might not be as tight as you thought it was. I'm unsure about what you're talking about when you say your dreads split down the middle.

Thanks for the help HempMama! Well I start palm rolling and the roots stay nice and tight but the body untangles itself. It just becomes straight hair. Any ideas? Also when I wash my hair they become really limb and flat like a wet noodle. Is normal for young dreads?
