ST. ANGER.........Share your views and opinions.

Apparently Kerrang! has said that St. Anger, the latest album from Metallica is "Nothing short of the finest thing [the band] have put their name to".

No offense to the band but I personally thought St. Anger was shit!
For a start there were absolutely NO SOLOS OF ANY KIND coming from an axe.
There was WAY TOO MUCH smashing of symbols for it to be rated as decent in my book. And the Lyrics didnt seem to have any depth, to me they only merely scratched the surface, therefore meaning nothing to me at all. And resulted me becoming very bored with the album eventually.

What are your views and opinions about it?

 

I couldnt agree more, St.Anger was shit compared to all their older stuff. The songs all sounded the same, no solos, too much cymbals and shit like that. I thought it was a big dissapointment.

 

I don't really like it that much, it has very little replay value. I loved the Loads though, which most people hated. I give Metallica credit for going in a new direction and they still rock.

I didn't think it was all that bad. We need to take into consideration this isn't the old Metallica. I think their music changed for the times. It's a good workout CD.

 

St. Anger fucking blew. Plus, I think the band got their "inspiration" for the drums in that album from Home Depot.

 

I really didn't like it. It is gathering dust on the shelf.

 

My best friend is one of the biggest metallica fans on the planet and she says that it sucks ass compared to the other metallica albums, and she has them all!!....i have to say that i used to really like them but i find them really boring nowadays.

yeah, i think it's shit too. I liked St anger (the song) and frantic...but nah, nothing special at all.
kerrang is crap too.
