Last week, I went in for surgery to fix my broken arm. They told me they were going to give me ketamine to knock me out, so I was amped. The medicine was administered through iv, and within thirty seconds, I was completely out. Ive never done any phsychedelics, but I can imagine this is what it must feel like. I remember thinking that everything around me was a test on my soul, and that i was entering a new world where people were real, and not my imagination. Everything was twisting, and my body felt unnatached. The doctors told me that during the whole thing, I was yelling OH MY GOD and sweating and shaking uncontrollably, and my heart rate went up to 160. They told me that I yelled that i was talking to god and the devil, but the devil was blue, not red. I guess i also said that I had talked to my dead grandmother. I remember that actually, she looked exactly like the painting I have of her, completely 2D. As i started to regain consciousness, I would open my eyes, cry, and then go off into my dream again. Finally I sat up, but felt really nauseous, so I went got home as fast as I could and slept for 5 hours. Overall one of the tripiest things of my life, but I'd definitely do it again. How does my story compare to street grade ketamine?
