If you like the Airplane then try the cd 'Live at the Family Dog Ballroom',a superb concert (1969).
The last song is a 25 min. jam with Jerry Garcia, woooow :)

I actually have the video for JA live at the family dog. That last jam is pretty cool... theres lots of people from the concert in that (I forget everyone thats in it now) but its awesome.

I don't really have a favourite either - I'm listening to Baxter's right now. My favourite album from that whole gang is Blows against the Empire.

Caught the new model Starship at London's 100 Club last week and it was rockin'. Cathy Richardson makes a fine representative on Earth for Grace Slick. I've been wondering if singing with the Jeffersons might have been her childhood dream ;-)

I was also wondering if Paul's headband is the same one he was wearing at Woodstock ...

Unfortunately there was no opportunity to schmooze with the band unless you paid an extra £15 for a "VIP" ticket, which I thought would be sad beyond words.

Thanks for the tip, I actually found a DVD of this at my local HMV. Reckon I'll stay in and watch it tonight, which means I'll have to put off The Dark Knight yet again ...

For some reason, these past few weeks I have been spinning "Crown of Creation" over and over and over...it's gotten so much damn better than I initially thought. I think "The House at Pooneil Corners" is the most intense song they've ever written.

For me it's a tie between Baxter's and Crown of Creation. I just can't decide.
