I saw the greatest thing on Untold Stories of the ER

Okay so this stuck up old lady comes in and she feels strange so she demands all these tests. At first the doctor refuses then she says she knows someone important that funds the hospital. So they do all these tests on her and find nothing wrong. Until they test her positive for marijuana. It turns out her grandson had brought home pot filled brownies from college. So the woman leaves terribly embarrased. It was great I love that show.

 

I love that show! We don't have cable, though. And TLC airs it very inconsistently and only has like 3 episodes. But those ER and trauma shows are sooooo great. I remember that episode, too, lol.

 

I saw one once where this thirteen year old girl was having trouble breathing and she couldn't talk and she was drooling, and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her.

Then they took an X-Ray and she had a fork in her throat.

Turns out she was bulimic and she had been trying to gag herself, but I guess she just tried a little too hard.

 

Yeah. Mystery Diagnosis on Discovery Health makes up for my missing it though.

 

how didn't she know? or was she unconscious too?

 

I saw that one to. It was great.

 

She couldn't speak because she had a fork in her throat.

 

but you would think she could write "fork in throat" or gesture or something...

 

She was probably really afraid of what would happen if they found out.

 

that's not what you originally said... that's right, i accuse you of post editing! and i have witnessed it before!

yeah, so anyway... i think i would be even more afraid of what would happen if a fork stayed in my throat...

 

Yes I am guilty. I realized the question had already been answered is all. Yeah good point I would be to. Don't know what the poor girl was thinking

 

Yeah, but I would also be more afraid what would happen to me if I vomited up all my food than what would would happen if I were fat.

So you know. No telling what goes on in some people's heads.

Did you see that episode where the two teenage girls got in a car accident and were impaled by the same pole? It went thru one girls stomach and into the other girls leg.

Uggghhh.

 

I vaugely remember seeing it.

 

maybe it's just the hormones, but i sense some sexual symbolism...

ughh i seen that one. it was disgusting

there was one episode where this broad came in, all delusional with blood coming out of her ear. turns out there was a junebug in her ear canal and that haunts me till this day

as for the pot brownie story that happened to my friend whos parents accidentaly ate her weed cake because her dumb ass left it on the kitchen counter. they were laughing and having a great time until we told them why. then they kicked both our asses out the house

 

I'm not into watching TV but here's a funny story along the same lines-

I had a bottle of rum that had been "electrified" and my mom came by the house to talk to me about some stuff and she poured some in her diet coke and had drank about half of it before I broke down and told her that it wasnt just rum.
She got pissed that i was "doing drugs" and told me about one time she ate acid and painted her car with house paint in the late '60s. Mom ended up staying at my place for several hours and we had a great chat, but she didnt trip (whew) i guess she didnt pour a full shot in her drink....

 

Sounds amazing. All my mom ever tried was pot.
