no really, they're sisters. and they sound so good too.. get their debut, La Maison de Mon Reve, if you like good music you shan't be disappointed!

they also have toured with Devendra Banhart and he plays with them on a track off their second album.

 

I gave them a try.

Unlike Devendra, which was like instant peaceful loving bliss, I'm not sold yet on Cocorosie..

 

they're just really weird. spoons on pots and what not, but i love it so...

 

Your picture is scary. Like the girl from the ring. I get freaked out when hair is covering someone's face and I can't see their eyes.

It reminds me of something I think that was in the Addams family maybe?

But your other pics convey your true beauty/handsomeness

Aww cocorosie their so wonderfully weird and their music is beautifully crazy.

Their new album "Noah's Ark" is fantastic, I love the song K-hole and Beautiful Boys with Antony from the Johnsons
I really love how they work with samples and other crazy sounds.
And one of the sisters is actually Devendra's girlfriend for those who didn't know..

No their not French but yeah they did live together in France for a while.
One of the sisters lived in France and then the other visited her one day and they decided to make music and that's how the other stayed. They also recorded their first album in the bathtub of their appartment in France. But they are very american

Aaaaah, CocoRosie ! One of my most favourite girls in music. New, creative, gritty, original, unstudied, crazy, beautiful....sometimes for me magical music....at this moment I´m listening to Brazillian Sun

 

I had to go through a few pages, I had a strong feeling there would a thread about cocorosie!
I love them do much, Devendra aswell.

I strongly suggest you checkout Joanna Newsom, Vetiver, Rio en medio ...and Noah Georgeson!! They are all friends, and somewhat similar vibes.

 

I FREAKING LOVE COCOROSIE! They were here in California this fall for a festival called Symbiosis which had an epic lineup however it cost a couple hundred bucks plus I would have had to drive all the way down to Yosemite area which is like a solid 6 hours away.

My friends think I'm nuts for loving CocoRosie but they are awesome. I wonder how frequent their drug use is...? Probably pretty frequent... I mean, K-hole?
