i've been going to echo lake since 2000, i am goign to the harvest fest this year, and i am going to go to the one in lyonsdale or whever the new location is, thats where the promoters of the previous echo lake ones want it and i trust them to make the right decisions, i think that the one in echo lake is something set up by a couple rouge elements and its not going to be nearly as organized as the one in lyonsdale, and like some people pointed out on the previous post, its getting hot in echolake, the cops mos def know about it, they have road blocks all over the place, yeah, i wish i only had to drive 2 hours to echo than drive 4 hours to lyonsdale, but hey, thats what i have to do. does this make sense, and where are ya'll going???
i donno about your logic... i think echo lake is sketch, but so is the political rally that is being held in lyonsdale. it raises eyebrows when it is announced as a political rally. i think they're both equally sketchy to be honest. echo lake had "Road blocks" that were seat belt checks. they were basically looking for drunks and the smell of pot. i think the lyonsdale show is more publicized. it draws more dissent from state authorities because of its political affiliations... as for being organized... how organized are these things in reality... they're free for alls in my opinion. i say go to the one you want to go to. i'm headed to echo lake. its a beautiful place. and i want that lakeside campsite like last year. its a fun venue. i'm trying to sell you on echo lake, but thats just me. go to whichever one you want, but don't let the man scare you from echo lake!
damnsam productions only puts on one festival a year, whereas the "rogue" elements at echo lake are putting on three this year. makes ya wonder... adirondack at lyonsdale was fun but colors of music fest at echo lake was hella fun, and pretty much the best party this year- more fun that bonnaroo for me. harvest fest should be the culmination.
