What is the Canadian culture? Is there a Canadian culture? Sometimes I feel like I am looking at us through the eyes of a non Canadian. Do we stereotype ourselves with all the rest to initiate a culture? Okay thoughts. :)

I dont know if we really have a culture. I know french people eat poutins, atlantic people eat lots of seafood, albertans ride horses... Other that that were just normal people who live in extreme cold 10 months a year.

no, people think canadians have endless winters, that being our culture. 90 percent of people outside of canada would agree that our culture evolves around snow.

-Hockey is apart of our culture.

-CFL is apart of our culture, unfortunately thanks to the jack-offs in Southern Ontario, the NFL is pushing in more and more.

-Lacrosse, our official sport of course.

-TV & Movies. The most underrated throughout the world. We produce awesome TV shows and movies, yet we still prefer the crap thats produced south of us.

-Allowing other cultures to come into Canada and dictate to us how we should run things...Or better known as Multiculturalism.

    -Always slagging Quebec.

    -Drive-thrus at tim hortons

I mean we don't have to much, thanks to the majority of Canadians wanting to have american culture here instead, and we all know how great american culture is :nopity:

We have lots of great movie, And i mean GREAT (to bad some or them will never be translanted).

We got A lot of internation musician, Céline Dion and Simple Plan to name the BIG one.

We have our own FOLK music. ( I dont like much but still..)

We have some cool food ( poutine)

We have a Great HEAVY METAL scene that is growing ( proof the HEAVY MTL festival with Iron Maiden and a lot of Big bands)

We got TONS of cool festival during summer time ( Festival de jazz, Montreal en lumière, Festival juste pour rire..ECT ECT)

Nice Architechture (spelling) Especially in québec city.

Canada is such a big place. I could easily go on about 20 subcultures. Its the kindest melting pot youll ever come accross. I think everyone could find a community in canada where they feel at home.

For starters I believe that Canadian culture is that of the First Nations People. Unfortunately when we stole their land and their identity many first Canadians lost that. I am of European decent, and I feel that Canadian culture is that of multi-culturalism. It's wonderful aint it? I love that I can learn so much about other cultures and dont have to leave my city to find it.

canadian culture is really a combination of many.

however, we all agree were better than the americans :p

in the words of the arrogant worms (funny canadian band): "we wont say that were better, its just that were less worse"
