If you are depressed, I hear that you can likely not have a good experience on shrooms, but what if you might be subconsciously depressed, or have some negative feelings or thoughts ?

Do you think that shrooms would bring that all out, and you would have a bad trip? ?

I think you are much more likely to have a bad trip. My perspective is that the risks outweigh the gains.

I agree with salmon up there^^

You have to be mentally prepared to do psychedelics, however if you have preconcieved notions or ideas that it might go bad it means it just isnt the time for it.....gotta get that head straight before you "get the head straight" if you know what I mean, dig

i usually start of my trips with molly because i have a lot of anxiety and that generally sets in a good mood for psychedelics. Mushrooms actually seem to make me depress. I just always realize how fucked up the world how unnatural everything's become. I begin to feel hopeless in this crazy brainwashed society. We were all born into this crazy overstimulating land of refrigerators and airplanes so we consider it all normal. well its not at all.

Ok thanks, I doutb I am depressed, but I have friends and such. I agree that alot of the world is bullshit, and that there is alot of truely superficial stuff - would you say if you had those thoughts before going into psychedelics, would it intensify and shit, or would I find peace with it all. I am thinking that i would like it because it sounds like the way I think and feel, but I dont want it to just be an overload of the thoughts that I already have...

If this makes any sense, please respond. lol

im bipolar and have done lsd, psilocybin, and mdma a bunch of times on and off my medication's, manic and depressed,,,ive even smoked dust which will supposedly turn a bipolar person skitz,,,i honestly felt no different than anyone else would from these drugs or their after affects becuase of it...for me it doesn't matter, but for some people it does...theirs stories of people curing schitzophrenia by taking lsd, but theirs also stories of people with mental disorders getting work after taking psychedelics...idk its your call...

I usually smoke a bowl after I eat the shrooms. It puts me in the right mind to have a good trip. Definitely don't do them if you're feeling angry or upset in any way, the trip will turn bad. Also, give yourself enough time for the shrooms to take affect before eating any more. They take a little while. The only time I had a bad trip was when I was pissed off at a friend, and I ate damn near 4 grams at once. I ended up sitting in the middle of my kitchen eating a piece of bologna and staring at the dripping faucet while all these fucked up thoughts raced through my head. NOT a good experience lol. And btw, I suffer from depression too. Shrooms make me really giggly and happy.
