So i got back from driving around the middle of America today.
I went on vacation with my family and i have discovered that I don't really like Garden of the Gods in Colorado. it kinda makes me mad because it was really short and the rocks weren't any fun to climb on.

I think Elephant Rocks in Missouri is more exciting that Garden of the Gods.
Actually, my whole vacation was kinda boring, except for all the old cars I've been seeing for the past 3 days.
    but yeah

Just thought I'd share that i didn't like Garden of the Gods

Do you have any pictures of your excursion into the heartland of America?

I've been to Pikes Peak. I went on a huge vacation with my family back in 1999. We went from Arkansas to Kansas to Colorado then on to Arizona and Nevada then to Utah and Idaho then back to Arkansas. It was quite an adventure and there was tons of things to see and do. I loved it.

We saw all kinds of things. The beautiful Rockies, Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge, Mesa Verde, 4 Corners, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City in Utah, then the beautiful mountains of Idaho.. Snake River and the Perrine Bridge. The continental divide. Tons of things.. I can't even name them all.

We even rode the mules down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stayed overnight. That was so awesome.

I swear though driving through Kansas was THE most boring thing EVER! and I'm not even joking with you. I think I must have slept the whole way through Kansas because I was so bored.

Did you ride that train up to the top of Pikes Peak? We did, I thought it was so cool.

i love all that rust red rock all over the southwest. the bare bones of the earth thrusting up out of the ground, eroding slowly, glowingly in the gloam. the way the blue black clouds rush in over the red earth and the light reflects up and turns the air into a golden shimmer. then the storm begins, and it's brutal and gorgeous.

Great pictures. Wow, your dad has some balls to do that. I wouldn't even want to be within 30 feet of that ledge.

The y reason they were breath taking on my behalf was because my dad was driving 43 on a 15 mph turn on the egde of the top of the mountain and because the gorge looked painted on

    Looks absolutely beautiful.

I cannot comprehend how you didn't enjoy it. I truly hope that you gain a stronger appreciation of nature as you grow older.

I just can't fathom how "old cars" can be the most fascinating aspect of a vacation to such an obviously beautiful place.
