The Holocaust was a 20th century inquisition done under cover of the Nazi party. Hitler was catholic; and when it became known that Pope Pius XI supported Hitler, the Roman Catholic vote swept Hitler into power in 1933. Read what the press of the Spanish dictator, Franco, published following Hitler's death. It said, "Adolf Hitler, son of the Catholic Church, died while defending Christianity." It goes on to say, "Over his mortal remains stands his victorious moral figure. With the palm of the martyr, God gives Hitler the laurels of Victory." Walter Schellenberg, former chief of Nazi counter-espionage made this statement: "The S.S. organization had been constituted by Himmler according to the principles of the Jesuit Order. Their regulations and the Spiritual Exercises prescribed by Ignatius of Loyola were the model Himmler tried to copy exactly. Himmler's title as supreme chief of the S.S. was to be the equivalent of the Jesuits' 'General' and the whole structure was a close imitation of the Catholic Church's hierarchical order." Franz von Papen, another powerful Nazi, who was instrumental in setting up the concordat between Germany and the Vatican had this to say: "The Third Reich is the first world power which not only acknowledges but also puts into practice the high principles of the papacy." If you are not aware of what a concordat is, a concordat is an agreement between the Vatican and a government. As far as the Vatican is concerned, that government that signed the concordat has now become a part of the government of God, and the Vatican fully intends to stabilize that government, give it divine protection, and give it international protection. Signing the concordat is Cardinal Pacelli (later to become Pope Pius XII). By 1933 he was the Vatican Secretary of State. Second from left is Franz von Papen, a sinister Nazi and devout Roman Catholic who was Hitler's ace diplomat and the Vatican's agent in helping to bring Hitler to power. Standing at the far right can be seen the little-known Vatican prelate, Montini, later to become Pope Paul VI. Catholic Bishops giving the Nazi salute Notice the Catholic church in the background as if it represented the foundation of the party. “I learned much from the Order of the Jesuits. Until now, there has never been anything more grandiose, on the earth, than the hierarchical organization of the Catholic church. I transferred much of this organization into my own party.” -Adolf Hitler
Rome is still sore about losing their position as an empire, so they put on priest robes instead of using swords. The church itself became empire for them and ruled with the same iron grip as Nero ever did. To attach themselves to another budding empire is just romancing over the good ol days of being able to use the sword. x
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Pius_XI#Relations_with_Germany_and_the_Concordat_of_1933 Pius XI was eager to negotiate concordats with any country that was willing to do so, thinking that written treaties were the best way to protect the Church's rights against governments increasingly inclined to interfere in such matters. Twelve concordats were signed during his reign with various types of governments, including some German state governments, and with Austria. When Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933 and asked for a concordat, Pius XI accepted. Negotiations were conducted on his behalf by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli, who later became Pope Pius XII (1939 – 1958). The Reichskonkordat was signed by Pacelli and by the German government in June 1933, and included guarantees of liberty for the Church, independence for Catholic organisations and youth groups, and religious teaching in schools. Pius XI responded by issuing in 1937 the encyclical Mit Brennender Sorge condemning the Nazi ideology of racism and totalitarianism and Nazi violations of the concordat. Copies had to be smuggled into Germany so they could be read from the pulpit. As the extreme nature of Nazi racial anti-Semitism became obvious, and as Mussolini in the late 1930s began imitating Hitler's anti-Jewish race laws in Italy, Pius XI made his position clear, both in Mit Brennender Sorge and in a public address in the Vatican to Belgian pilgrims in 1938: "Mark well that in the Catholic Mass, Abraham is our Patriarch and forefather. Anti-Semitism is incompatible with the lofty thought which that fact expresses. It is a movement with which we Christians can have nothing to do. No, no, I say to you it is impossible for a Christian to take part in anti-Semitism. It is inadmissible. Through Christ and in Christ we are the spiritual progeny of Abraham. Spiritually, we [Christians] are all Semites." These comments were subsequently published worldwide.[citation needed] At the end of his pontificate, an encyclical with the name Humani Generis Unitas was prepared on his orders; it contained an open condemnation of anti-Semitism and all racism. The encyclical was ready in September 1938, but never published, as Eugenio Cardinal Pacelli, cardinal secretary of state of the Holy See, judged that it might provoke anti-Catholic retaliation, especially in Nazi Germany, and that an open attack on racial policy and the internal affairs of Germany and Italy would render the Holy See's claim to impartiality patently false. http://ewtn.com/library/answers/piusjews.htm Nevertheless, Pius XII spoke out. After the invasion of Poland in September l939, he denounced the aggression of the Nazis and proposed a peace plan. In 1940, he called for the triumph over hatred, mistrust, and the spirit of "cold egoism." The following year, he pleaded for the rights of small nations and national minorities, and condemned total warfare and religious persecution. "This Christmas more than ever Pope Pius XII is a lonely voice crying out in the silence of a continent. The pulpit whence he speaks is more than ever like the Rock in which the Church was founded, a tiny island lashed and surrounded by a sea of war... When a leader hound impartially to nations on both sides condemns as heresy the new form of national state which subordinates everything to itself; when he declares that whoever wants peace must protect against 'arbitrary attacks' the 'juridical safety of individual'; when he assails violent occupation of territory, the exile and persecution of human beings for no reason other than race or political opinion; when he says that people must fight for a just and decent peace, a 'total peace'--the 'impartial' judgment is like a verdict in our high court of justice." When Pope Pius XII died on October 9, 1958, Golda Meir, then Israeli delegate to the United Nations, sent official condolences: "When fearful martyrdom came to our people in the decade of Nazi terror, the voice of the pope was raised for the victims. The life of our times was enriched by a voice speaking out on the great moral truths above the tumult of daily conflict. We mourn a great servant of peace." pwn'd
Knight Templer and Free-Masons anyone???? People still search for the cup of Christ, but ask yourself why!!! Do they seek these things for his glory or their own... Right on my man, lay your hands on the Arc of the covenant, rather you than me, to touch it is instant death according to the bible, once a guy tried to steady it on his horse and cart and was instantly cut down... No man may lay his hand upon the word of god! As for hitler he got his hands on the spear of Longinus at one time, the spear that pierced Christ's side at the crucifiction, no ones seen it since.. Thou shalt not worship any graven image, well it dosnt get much graver than walking into a church and seeing your saviour stappled to a plank of wood!
Following his fourteenth birthday in 1941, Ratzinger was enrolled in the Hitler Youth — membership being legally required after December 1939[5] — but was an unenthusiastic member and refused to attend meetings[6]. His father was a bitter enemy of Nazism, believing it conflicted with the Catholic faith.
Maybe the Catholic Church didn’t “officially” support the Nazi policy of Jewish genocide. I’m not going to dispute that. However, throughout history, the Church has been incredibly anti-Semitic and Catholic countries have consistently discriminated against the Jews. At the moment, there is a shift away from it. The Jewish people are making crucial contributions to Western society and it is in the Catholic Church’s best interest to support them. I firmly believe that this is merely an attempt to exploit them and assimilate them into North America, thus destoying their culture and religion and eradicating the problem once and for all. The West needs a foothold in the Middle East, and what could be better than giving them a “homeland?” Personally, I am an anti-Zionist Jew because the actions that have been taken to acquire Israel from the Palestinians are unethical and contradict the core values of Jewish teachings. Additionally, it offends me that the Church would call Christians “Semites.” The Jews are not simply a group that follow a particular religion. They are a people, who through widespread anti-Semitism have developed a unique culture and philosophy. I don’t remember who said this quote (someone influential, and not Jewish I believe...) but it is that “anti-Semitism is what makes a Jew Jewish...” or something like that. Why do you think Judaism makes it so difficult to convert? Now when the most enormous political power in history decides that they want to consider themselves “semites,” should the Jewish people not be offended? They are not descendents of Abraham, even spiritually; the descendents of Abraham ended up being enslaved in Egypt and then all over the world until it finally reached its climax in the 1940s. Christians seem to believe that Jesus was the one who gave his life for their sins, but Jesus could never have gotten to where he was without the constant oppression of his people. I’ll never trust the Catholic Church, regardless of whether or not they supported the Nazis.
Here an Israeli commentator warns of pogroms coming in America in response to Jewish participation in liberal movements. A curious read. http://samsonblinded.org/blog/on-anti-semitism-in-america.htm
