I always thought: Bare feet are beautiful! Especially if they are strong and evenly tanned... There's really no reason to hide them from the world. And I LOVE to decorate my own pair with fancy jewelery - toe rings, anklets, chains... Sometimes I add a slogan - like "Barefoot Forever" - using a CD marker. Here are some examples: I took these pics last November during my trip to Rajasthan. I got this minimalist variety of "barefoot sandals" from a friend, a German barefooter, who is as creative as I am if it comes to adorning his feet. Three toe rings in plain silver and two colorful anklets make another cool combination... Or: Toe rings, little copper bells ("get the rhythm") and a combination of colorful anklets and amulets... There are many ways to say "Barefoot is beautiful" - and one day, I tried to convey the message, using a CD marker... How do you feel about foot jewelery & bare feet? I do most of the things you show. I like the way it looks on me. I think it looks good on me. I have not tatooed, nor do I draw on them. It's toe rings and anklets, thus far. And my feet are tanned like yours! Believe it or not, in this climate, I can do it easily. Every year. In another thread I am exploring the barefoot sandals idea.
I think my feet are healthy looking (just starting to pick up some summer color). But foot jewlery on non-healthy shoddies looks funny to me. I may try an anklet this summer.
You are in the woods alot and scramble thru brush... does the anklet ever get caught on a branch or vine? I guess the string would break if I got stuck on something while moving fast. I've never been one for rings or jewelry of any kind. I don't even like to wear a watch on my wrist. (tan lines) My feet never get an even tan like traveller any suggestions ?
I've never had a problem with anklets unless it be one of the thinnest, weakest string types, which I rarely wear anyway. I have come out of the thicket and noticed a twig came along with me in the anklet. I used to lose watches, so I never wear them. I don't allow tan lines anywhere except possibly with the two toe rings. If a thicker anklet starts making a tan line, I move it to the other anklet for awhile. I've never been a jewelry type, but this one area of the body got me started, and I can't say why. I honestly can't say if it's for me, or if I'm trying to make a statement. Probably a little of both. I am quite sure I look good with them. It's been slow to evolve, that's for sure.
If you have nice feet, anklets and toerings are hot. But if you have ugly feet, they just draw attention to your ugly feet. But soe shoes on, dude!
I like toe rings and anklet...I've never written on my feet before, but I think you've given me inspiration to do so...I think I'll put a Hello Kitty temp tattoo on tomorrow
I just got these really cute barefoot sandels I had a pic but I deleted it... U have some really cute anklets btw
I love barefoot sandals, they can be very cute. But I'm more into anklets and rings. My favorite anklet is a wider woven design with beads. Makes me look like a tribal girl
