MindSpace recenty acquired some Mirmosa and it would be great to hear any stories of firends who have successfully extracted DMT using this EXACT tek; http://www.dmtdrug.com/dmtextraction.htm The description of that tek sounds much easier than this other more "popular" yet complicated method that most people seem to be using; http://www.dmtextraction.org/mimosa1dmtextraction.htm

MindSpace has been doing alot of research and just wants to be sure that the "so-called easier" tek works before attempting to turn his costly Mirmosa into Spice. Any stories from friends you may of heard about doing the easier tek would be much appreciated!

Sounds about right. The first method will work, but it's gonna require more washes to get it clean. Really, neither one is harder than the other. but the materials for the second one may be a little harder to get.

I think the first one is a slightly out of date Marsofold tek, which many people use: http://forums.lycaeum.org/index.php?topic=2442.msg24734

You might be better off using the glass baking pan instead of mason jars because it's easier to get the crystals out. (as described in the updated version).

I would definitely add that you should do multiple pulls, because one will not get it all. (Do the Nonpolar Extraction step 3-5 times. The best thing is to keep the first couple of extractions separate from the subsequent if you have more than one baking pan you can use. Sometimes the 3rd and on are slightly more yellowish.)

Also, definitely pour through a filter when you pour the naptha off the pan because some will not stick and you will catch some nice crystals in the filter.

With Mimosa Hostilis root bark, you really don't need the de-fatting step (as described in your second, more complicated tek.) I think that's more important when using other sources for DMT. You will likely get white or off white if you follow Marsofold closely. (Make sure you wait a day for plant material to settle.) If it's not close to white, you can always re-crystallize.
