I've decided to take a shot at teaching... This will be a basic course for Audio Production in the live setting. What qualifies me to teach? I'm a local, independent Audio Engineer based in New Mexico. I've worked with such artists as: Arlo Guthrie, Brett Dennen, New Monsoon, Mason Jennings, EOTO and many more... Curriculum includes, but not limited to: -Basic understanding of acoustics -Understanding audio signal -Equipment overview -Microphone placement -Mixing basics I will provide a few reading materials via .pdf file. Recommended (but not required) reading: Live Sound Reinforcement by Scott Hunter Stark If anyone is interested, please sign up, or let me know!
Possible to make them video? Please? I want to be a sound engineer for a career (going into college next year) and would love to learn some of this stuff. However, I have a hard time with reading and videos are much easier for me to learn from. If not then that's perfectly cool too. But, if you did make them videos then I would watch every single one with no doubt.
