Does anyone know of a free history cleaner that has an ignore list, so that I can keep certain cookies but it will clear all others?
I recommend using Firefox. The new production release version 1.0 allows you to whitelist certain cookies, and you have the option to delete cookies when you close the browser, after a week, or when they expire. Plus most spyware is written for IE so you won't have that problem, and you can download plugins for just about any other feature you want to use, including adware blocking. But, if you are using IE, make sure you have installed version 6.0, and then go to the link below (download.com) and download All-in-One Secretmaker. It's a robust little free history cleaner that also allows you to whitelist cookies. It's a great place to find freeware, if you've never heard of it. It also gives cnet reviews and user reviews, so you know they're not as biased. Sorry I can't hotlink this, haven't figured out how to do it on this site yet. http://www.download.com/All-in-One-Secretmaker/3000-7786-10319016.html?tag=lst-0-1
The internet explorer has that, believe it or not. Just go to:Extras/Internet options/(toolbar). There you'll see the title, Temporary files (or something like that) with three buttons. There you can set it to block specific cookies, all cookies, etc... There's the History box with options.
