I've been using opiates off and on for about five years now. I've had a problem with them a couple times, but lately have been able to restrain myself. I'll probably do a line of buprenorphine tonight before I go out. Life's been rough lately, I could use the vacation.

It's not even an insulting quote. It's a FUNNY quote. You should be flattered that someone has something about you in their sig. She even said she likes you, but didn't understand why you were being that way toward her. She really has no problem with you at all. She's told me that personally. You gotta stop being so sensitive.

    Here we go! some discussion!
My first time I really didn't think it would be fun... after I took it I was afraid i wouldn't even feel it... then BOOM! I'm all smiles and giggles. The first time I took it I crashed a bit, but I think that's mostly because I just wanted to try it again, not so much that I needed it. Yesterday I took even more and had no withdrawl, just a little nausea... but nothing some water and tums can't fix.

I'm really uncomfortable with hearing you use the word "fun" to describe it, but it's my own fault. I've never used opiates for fun, always as an escape. And they're incredibly handy at that.

I don't really get "all smiles and giggles," but again that probably has to do with why I take them. When I bump something, I fall into a deep thought for about three or four hours. And the dirtiness of it attracts me too. I love walking the streets strung out, chain smoking, glaring at people I pass. I become the piece of shit they think I am, and it's very gratifying to throw it back in their faces.

All that said, I just bumped some buprenorphine, and now I'm going to take a cold shower and go for a walk.

I've had them before. They're great, but have such a hard come down.
I honestly think you may not know how harsh you come across at times. It may just be your life experience and age though. You are young for everything you have been through.
I know you are against psych meds, and I respect your choice, however, would you consider therapy? There are some great open minded therapists out there. You just need to find one you click with.

Being in foster care and all you must have been through a lot.
You seem very sensitive towards what people say to you, but not very sensitive regarding what you say to others. You also seem to be the antithesis of everything you claim to be. That's pretty typical of having a personality disorder. It might be something you want to take care of now before it gets worse when you get older.
A therapist is supossed to listen to you, not tell you what you think. I know with everything you went through yolu had to talk to a lot of them when you were a kid. I know you were most likely forced to do so. Going as an adult and having it being a choice rather than a forced thing may be very empowering.

agreed. you (bloody) take a great many comments as personal attacks, when you have typed out worse things to other members on here. its like it just doesnt quite click

and also agreed on how a therapist works. they basically let you talk out your problems, and suggest a variety of strategies to help improve your life. they dont 'crawl in your head', they cant force you to divulge anything you dont want to, and what you say to them is in total confidence (unless you seem like you might harm yourself or others). they can be so ridiculously helpful sometimes

I don't gang up on people. i don't blatently insult people. I may be harsh, but its all honesty.
And how about rather than talking to Dr.fixyourbrain... isn't that what friends are for? And last time I checked, they said I was fine... so... why would I pay some jackass with a fancy title to get into my personal business and try to tell me how to live my life.
Trust me. I know all too well how "therapists" work. I've had private ones even, and they're all a bunch of mushy jokes. My "therapy" sessions are in a circle with my friends drinking a beer, smokin' some bud, and eatin' some good candies... lol

You're right. I hope she doesn't have to fall on her ass to learn how the world works. I also hope she is a productive member of society and not living off the system without trying to get better.

So basically you are self-medicating with unhealthy habits. That's fine to do that, but you don't need to insult mental health professionals in the process.
I work with kids like you and they need help and advice and to learn how to not self-medicate and grow up into angry adults with no social skills.
