I bought 11.5g of seeds yesterday. I ground up the seeds in my coffee grinder. Put the powder in a ziplock bag(large). Added about a cup of destilled water and i shook it. i then added about 1/2 naptha to defat, shook it and waited until emulsion was gone. Naptha looked clear afterwards. Separated the bottom from top(naptha) and filtered the water several times.
Water looked nasty(brown). Decided not to drink it, so i put it in a large petri dish to evaporate and later put in capsule.
Anyone see problems with this method?
Will the water evaporate and leave behind the LSA?

I decided that next time, i would just grind up the seeds and put them in capsules. I dont know why i didnt do this in the first place.

I just checked the liquid in the petri dish. There seemed to be less of it. Small yellowish and uniform looking solids formed on top of the liquid and on the sides. The petri dish was placed in a non dusty area so its not dust. Is this the LSA? Or can it be something else?
i can post a picture if anyone wants to help.

has all the crappy chemicals evaporated?> Dry it with a fan or a low heat hair dryer..
Remember you got flammable stuff there.

why use such volitile chemicals when a water extraction gets the same results?

im pretty sure any naptha left evaporated. ill wait until all the water evaporates. im just curious whether these precipitates are LSA or something else. im not sure how to upload images on here.

water that has clorine in it will throw off lsa results. I hope you used distilled water for your extraction..
you should put it in the refridgertor to evaporate in the cold, heat will also lower lsa.
    as will UV light..

no chlorine because it was distilled water, evaporating it the fridge will take days.
when you say heat, is room temp ok?

Room temperature is fine. Keep it in the dark. Not sure how to deal with oxygen.

what do you mean, not sure how to deal with oxygen? Do you think the water will evaporate and leave the LSA. Its the third day and it hasnt evaporated, although it is more thick and smells like yeast dough. Looks like i failed.
