So I've recently returned to my home town after some years on the road, and of coarse I've run into old pals and and what not, but my big problem is when I run into old girl friends. I'm not attracted to most of them any more, yet two of them I just can't seem to forget about. One of them, Veronica, is in the Navy now and she was on leave about a month back. We hav'nt seen each other in over 3 years, yet we still clicked, and it was just like old times. We spent the night together, but did not have sex, that's how I know the feelings are mutual. It was'nt just a booty call. We made little promises, etc. and then she was off, back to base the next day. We e-mail each other weekly, but I will have to wait for her a long time. The other girl, Bree, was my first real love, and the girl whom I lost my virginity to. She broke my heart in the long run. Any way, I ran into her the other day, unanounced, and we hit it off right away, talking for about an hour in the movie store. I have'nt seen her in 4 years. She is now a single mom, yet still as beutifull as ever. I got her number and have yet to call her. The problem is that I'm a hopeless romantic, and these two women both hold chunks of my heart. So what do I do? Shoud I call her? Should I not open old wounds? Should I grow up and meet some different women? Any advice is most welcome. I'm just bothered by this whole scenario...
navy is tough shes gunna be around guys all the time hardly ever home.. id say only get back into these relationships if you plan on sticking around
I realise that she'll be around a lot of dudes, and it can't really bother me, cause I'm a dog and will scratch at any door that will open to me,(almost). I will be sticking around for the summer, and probibly the fall. We're not in a relationship, per-say, only we've confesed our love to one another, and made planes for a future together. Yet she still has at least 3 years in the out fit, and might even make a career out of it....... The other girl is just single mommy, trying to support her and her child. I should really have a clear head before I make any choices, although I will probibly call her on pay day and offer to buy her lunch. See if the feelings are real and not just good memories...... Curiosity did kill the cat... Then again, satisfaction brought him back.......
I'd say forget the one in the navy but I dunno the hot mom sounds cool. You're totally right that it's hard to be around old flames but you never know maybe a an old flame can turn into a new fire!
This is true...... But I've decided to stick with Veronica, in the Navy. I could regret it, but it's what seems right at the moment. Who knows the future, or what could happen from here to then......
yeah its a tricky one sometimes it cand cause more damage than expected, sometimes the past is better with the past
