But if i vote in november it'll be third party. the liberals in this country are absolutely insane. Their backward economic policies created these messes and then they offer poorly thought out band aids as solutions, and their foriegn policy is indistinguishable from the right, they just tend to use the u.n. and nato more than their own troops (remember sanctions are an act of war). the republicans wouldn't recognize fiscal responsibility if it bit them in the ass and the jesusland movement is scary at best, their corporatist policies are the antithesis of free market ideas. Socialists or Fascists. Chairman Obama or Herr McCain. War in Iran or War in Pakistan. Either way we'll have record gas prices because no one has the balls to admit there is no alternative to what oil presently allows us to do, all we can do is increase supply while making serious steps at conservation until we find or invent something as good (and biofuels are a joke, net energy gain is zero or sometimes even negative, meanwhile food prices rise and people starve because you are putting their corn and sugar into your SUV). Global warming fanatics are going to be taxing everything within reach choking the life out of industry and getting their grubby paws on every bit of your personal life they can (the latest is that they want to start taxing fat people more). Personal freedoms and liberties will again be taking a back seat: whether it's gun rights and school choice on the left or freedom of religion and habeas corpus on the right. mindless idiots. suicidal feel good robots. my opinion at least, but everytime i hear someone say Obama is the answer i want to puke. i don't see me being happy with anyone you guys put in the white house the senate or the house of reps, they all belong to the politico-mafiaso class now anyway... No one cares about individual american citizens or they wouldn't be lying to my face everytime i turn on the t.v.
Even the contenders for the libertarian party are a joke, Gravel is about as libertarian as larouche, Barr is an old righty without a home, and Root is, well not the brightest bulb or most eloquent speaker we'll say... this is all America has to offer? sad...
Obama is not a socialist, and in his book "The Audacity of Hope" (what was your opinion of that book???), he strongly advocates capitalism and entrepreneurship.
How many times do I have to tell you that? Rhetorical question of course, i will not see your answer.
Well look at the choices we have: McCain was involved in the savings and loans scandals, would be the oldest president ever elected, and seems to have sold out to Bush and company. He may be an ex-prisoner of war, but one also has consider that his father was an admiral and he was treated slightly differently than other prisoners of war. His wife has continually refused to disclose her financial data. Hillary is a bitchy old female who scampered around disclosure while her husband was in office and is married to one of the few presidents that have been impeached, and isn't well liked by either her own generation or the new one. And Bill seems to spend a lot of time with his friends in Dubai And a black man with a muslim name after 09/11. A name that is only one letter different from the biggest boogeyman of your time. Who set this race up? It surely is historic. Makes one wonder about the wisdom of the two party system.
I dont know about all that...if "gun rights" and "school choice" you are equating with freedom of religion and habeus corpus...I dont know, I think the choice is pretty obvious. Could/Should be better, but there are clear distinctions between the two parties and we all know a 3rd party candidate can't win until we have some serious campaign finance reform. Plus I haven't heard anything so astounding from the indies either.
gardener Id have a chuckle at your obama comments, but for some reason I think you are half serious, which if true is pretty disgusting
I am more than half serious. I think the only reason he's been allowed to get this far is because some political marketers advised the two party system he didn't stand a chance. Not that Hillary stands a chance either. She doesn't but it's easier for the Dems to blame it on race, than gender, and Hillary's problem isn't just a gender one. It goes deeper. She's an attornery and one that stopped investigations during her period in the White House, why should she be any different than Bush if elected? She knows how to cover her and Bill's ass in a pinch. Personally I don't judge him. I just know his cause is a losing one. Much as Nader's is seen to be...but media gives it a reason to be and it makes the nightly news. It's only disgusting on the basis that marketers have used our flaws against us.
Gun rights and School Choice...is that really what you think this is all about? I don't think any of the three candidates have really addressed either of these questions definitely have they? It appears we should be prepared that the democrats can't win this time around...the fight's been thrown. Nader on the other hand has addressed them, but he's not taken seriously.
Who would have thought that the dems didn't stand a chance after Iraq and 8 years of GW...but that's where we are? Have to hand it to them, they've pulled it off.
"How many times do I have to tell you that? Rhetorical question of course, i will not see your answer... everytime i hear someone say Obama is the answer i want to puke." Having cast out logic, reason, informed debate, and careful consideration of the results of direct and indirect oberservation as mere leftovers from the "pre-911 world," I guess that's the kind of "debate" we should expect from the extreme right. "I believe in the free market, competition and entrepreneurship, and think no small number of government programs don't work as advertised. I wish the country had fewer lawyers and more engineers... No, people don't expect government to solve all their problems. But they sense, deep in their bones, that with just a slight change in priorities, we can make sure that every child in America has a decent shot at life, and that the doors of opportunity remain open to all. They know we can do better. And they want that choice." -Barack Obama "Lalalalalala socialism, socialists, liberals OMFG!!!! Lalala I can't hear you!!! Help me Michael Savage the readers are taking over the country!!!!" -The rightwing response
gardener give me a break. The dems do stand a chance, and much more than a fighting one. You've given nothing but pure ignorant BS in criticizing Obama and Clinton. Apparently you are a racist and a sexist and delusional to boot. Congrats! right, dems. economic policies got us into this mess...what a joke!!!
Actually I do, but you at least attempted to make valid points in regards to McCain... But taking stabs at someones name, color and gender? that just makes you look like a douche
I love this school yard recess view of Obama. Seems like this is the only thing Fox News has to scare, I mean, serve up is a fact-flavored bowl of propoganda cereal every day.
I'm not a single issue voter so it is all relevent to me, and i hate the "lesser of two evils" meme, plus i pay attention to the politics on the federal, state and local level, and I try not to forget that you can't seperate the candidate from their party affiliation. I agree 3rd parties have no shot at the moment, but i consider voting for either of the 2 main parties to be throwing away my vote as i would be voting against my principals and for someone who's solutions i believe well be counter-productive. I'd be happy being the only person to vote for a candidate as long i could agree with their platform. Normally i'd even go with the lesser of two evils, but the candidates and their respective parties are so far from what i can respect that there literal is no lesser in the picture. just two evils. As far as nothing astounding coming from the indies, unfortunately you are correct, i was disappointed to see Bob Barr grab the LP nomination, and there is no way in hell i'd cast a vote for McKinney and the greens. I might vote for Barr anyway, but i might just stay home for all the good it'd do...
hhhmmmm, yep you got a point there, it is true that your message is hidden because you are one of the few on my ignore list. But please keep in mind, that you are also on my ignore list as well. that and your message is hidden, must have something to do with being on my ignore list. i'll keep it in mind, thanks for sharing your hidden message.
