These are the lyrics to a song I'm working on about the enviroment. Its written from a futuristic point of view.

    Do you remember maple syrup
Or the beauty of maple trees
Do you remember the colors they’d turn in autumn
Or the sparkling and shining seas

Lab rats, HAZMAT, PCBs and dying trees
Acid rain, Ozone strain, CO2 and fossil fuel
Looks like Jacques Cousteau told us so
    We’ve brought upon the end
We’ve crucified the environment on a cross of pollution

Do you remember the taste of seafood
    Or swimming in the brook
    Do you remember breathing easy
    What little effort it took

Lab rats, HAZMAT, PCBs and dying trees
Acid rain, Ozone strain, CO2 and fossil fuel
Looks like Jacques Cousteau told us so
    We’ve brought upon the end
We’ve crucified the environment on a cross of pollution

Do you remember when out of sight meant out of mind
    How dreadfully wrong we were
From Chernobyl to America, such a sad and morbid fate
This parched and barren wasteland we were so careless to create
