honestly im not gonna judge u or call u and idiot or anything for liking techno lol,but personally i hate it when im tripping....its ok when im rolling though. but when tripping the type of stuff i like is

    pink floyd
    the beatles
    rage against the machine
    eminem
    red hot chilli peppers
    led zepplin
    tupac
    jimmy hendrix

or anyone with good lyrics and insightful things to say i can listen to almost any type of genre of music....it just depends on wether i like the band/rapper/whatever....acid is tricky....i like to listen to whatever im feeling. and not only do i like listening to those types of music but, once the trip really gets goin i like getting behind my drum set and just ripping it up to anything i feel like for hours straight...for example ill do drum covers for eminem and tupac songs, and then switch it up to rage against the machine, then to pink floyd or whatever lol

Guys, try Bach's toccatas and fugues for organ :) Its crazy... If you pay attention to them you can hear multiple independent voices, yet its just ONE guy playing ONE instrument. Great stuff to trip to imo.

The Well-Tempered Clavier is also a really good set of songs by Mr. Bach to trip to. I like Vivaldi's Magnificat and Gloria too. Choirs always make the LSD experience seem so much more epic.

when tripping its always fun to listen to the acid rock of the 60's and even some techno every now and then but what i love most is really chill bluegrass, like old crow medicine show, mountain heart, yonder mountain string band and so on and so forth

Beatles- Lucy in the sky with diamonds. I have no idea why but this song gives me a general feel good and happy feeling, even while sober

Yeah, I've never done Lucy yet, but when I do, I plan on having some Beatles on my Mp3 ready for play:

    I am the Walrus
    LSD
    Tomorrow Never Knows
    Within You Without You

finally someone says the beatles.....they are the best trippin band, lennon knew what trippin was all about. I usually put a variety of songs off many different albums but my favorite are
    within you without you
    lucy in the sky
    here comes the sun
    maxwell silver hammer

also the greatful dead of course, the byrds and donovan.....I think everyone should at least try these bands but allways make sure you put on your favorite music as well...whatever it is

    AHHHHHHAHAHAHAH

reading what that dick squilla wrote made me laugh so much, i wish he could have said that garbage infront of my face so i could laugh harder.

anywho, anything with soul is fucking amazing while tripping.

i personally love listening to the blues while tripping, but i also like shpongle, younger brother, n the whole goa, psybient, psytrance stuff. but every genre has its own thing that makes it good and im glad music is so diverse, because people are diverse, and i would hate living in a world where there was only one or two genres. [when i say genre i mean something with soul, emo doesnt have soul, bro-hardcore doesnt have soul] oh and classical music is fucking insane. hahah.

and as for techno, eh its ok, i mean i dont hate it, but its not something that would be in my playlists, even though its in my music library.

here are two beatles related links i hope you guys will enjoy as much as i have.

john lennon's dirty mac group performing yer blues:

jeff beck covering a day in the life:

and has anyone ever heard jimi hendrix's woodstock version of bold as love? if not listen to it, it will turn your hair white... no joke.

electronica speaks in geometric visual form, it's far more advanced a medium for intellectual dialogue than actual englished lyrics

Techno with vocals on 2c-i was awesome. I feel it definitely contributed to a positive trip and euphoria. Plus all the electric sounds and deep bass just sound awesome.

I just find it funny as to some of the bands he listed for tripping and then slammed someone else's taste in music. I'll agree that some of those bands are good, but converge, slipknot, deftones? Good bands but wayyy too intense for tripping. Even though I'm not a techno fan I would much rather listen to that then listen to metal and screaming while I'm under the influence of a psychedelic...

to each his own though I guess...just don't be a dick about it..

Im new to the forums here and most of all i've read has been well thought out and polite.. until I saw this.

Music is music, why waste your time hating on someones taste and writting down all the bands you "listen" too?

Doing nothing but making yourself look dumb. :\

I truly love all types of music while trippin but one of my favorite things to do is jam to some funk! George Clinton and the Parlament Funkadellic groove!

Listen to Pink Floyd's The Piper at the Gates of Dawn album. It really trips me out every time.
