I so should have cussed out my art teacher

I had as math teacher that was the same kind of rigid bitch.

It was really freaky because she was always bitching and her face was frozen in a botox smile.

Wow I always hated art class. Im totally terrible. History and english are more my thing.

 

i haven't had an actual art class since elementary school

well, my univ. counted photography as an art elective...

 

I'm defiantly an english/lit kinda guy.

It's the only class I get credit for making things up.

 

But teachers in general tend to be bitter. And useless.

 

so did you end up throwing your bone into either of them?

I've never had art in school. I did make art in shop though, as proven by my awesome wooden turtle clock.

I'm going to be in anticipation all day wondering how Flan's day in art class went today...

I really wanted to be an art teacher but I would not, I repeat not want to be a high school teacher, a huge negatory on that one... I'd rather teach art to a herd of wild animals, they are more tame...

 

3 out of the 4 years I was in high school, I was in the advanced English classes and they were the funnest of all the classes because I got to be me completely. I created so many of my little comic book character doodles in that class based on assignments. And I don't recall writing one term paper in AP English senior year, but we made little Beowulf clay sculptures, created our own countries...neat junk like that. Haha.

we just had to buy paper and B&W film. the chemicals used to develop the film and such were paid for by the school

and i got to use lots of people paper, when they realized they weren't going ot use it all. most didn't like being in the darkroom at all, so they just gave me the paper so i could have fun and try different things without worrying about buying more paper

 

i hate you we had to buy paper and film and cameras too... but we did a shitload of printing. my friendn and i bought 3 packs of paper for the 2 of us, and had like 3 sheets left by the end. i think the packs had 100 sheets each too. but we were doing like 2 rolls a week, 25 rolls total (two weeks and 3 rolls for the final project). ridonkulous amount of work, but it was sooooo good and fun, apparenlty those of us in that class know more than most of the 3rd year photo majors

 

Just a guess, but I think she is just mad and wouldn't actually pnch a kitten...

The teacher is probably just a dick. My art teacher in high school had her favs...she hardly even spoke to the other kids. I had an English teacher who talked about me behind my back to the rest of the class, comparing me to a character in a book. She was a total bitch.

Some teachers should consider a career change...

 

Art is really what you want to make of it. But well, I guess in school you have to learn different rules... it's a pity, though, all the fun just goes away like that...
I was thinking in the same way about literature. You can see in a piece of literature what you see and have your own views on it and your own opinions. But no, that's not allowed in school.
