suggested interpretations of the DMT experience

There was a writing on erowid I was reading about DMT and I thought some of you might enjoy 8 peoples interpretation of the DMT experience. I thought they were all relatively interesting.

" (i) There are no alien entities at all; it's merely subjective hallucination. The DMT state may be interesting, even extremely interesting, but really there are no independently-existing alien entities to be found.

(ii) DMT provides access to a Parallel or higher dimension, a truly alternate reality which is, in fact, inhabited by independently-existing intelligent entities forming (in the words of Terence McKenna) "an ecology of souls."

(iii) DMT allows awareness of processes at a cellular or even atomic level. DMT smokers are tapping into the network of cells in the brain or even into communication among molecules themselves. It might even be an awareness of quantum mechanical processes at the atomic or subatomic level.

(iv) DMT is, perhaps, a neurotransmitter in reptilian brains and in the older, reptilian parts of mammalian brains, Flooding the human brain with DMT causes the older reptilian parts of the brain to dominate consciousness, resulting in a state of awareness which appears totally alien (and sometimes very frightening) to the everyday monkey mind.

(v) A non-human intelligent species created humans by genetic modification of existing primate stock then retreated, leaving behind biochemical methods for contacting them. The psychedelic tryptamines are chemical keys that activate certain programs in the human brain that were placed there intentionally by this alien species.

(vi) The realm to which DMT provides access is the world of the dead. The entities experienced are the souls, or personalities, of the departed, which retain some kind of life and ability to communicate. The realm of dead souls, commonly accepted by cultures and societies other than that of the modern West, is now accessible using DMT.

(vii) The entities experienced are beings from another time who have succeeded in mastering the art of time travel, not in a way which allows materialization but in a way which allows them to communicate with conscious beings such as ourselves.

(viii) The entities are probes from an extraterrestrial or an extradimensional species, sent out to make contact with organisms such as ourselves who are able to manipulate their nervous systems in a way which allows communication to take place.

These hypotheses can be expanded and are, of course, vulnerable to objections. No doubt other hypotheses are possible. These matters will not be resolved until we have more data with which to test these and other hypotheses."

After reading those I was thinking and what happens if the entities that the subjects described having experienced want us to contact them. That they just like us humans are just another race of people trying to make a connection and they also like us are trying to interprete the experience...?

Nobody else has some opinions or thoughts...? You guys all suck for once.

 

What do you expect? My opinion is that, yes they all are relatively true. I've read 'DMT; The Spirit Molecule' and these are all experiences pretty much like the 60 recorded in the book.

I do think when you die your energy is released to where these "alien like entities" are, some sort of afterlife made up of colors and energies from the past, even some who you will know, or even know you. I think the DMT theory is quite amazing, it's ashame more people don't open their minds to benefit from such an amazing thing, and realize how to really live on this earth.

Is that a better reply for your post?

I can go on also, I said I found #6 most fascinating, because well, it is. I see our bodies as just forms holding our energy, we use them til they die and are disposed, we then continue to this afterlife that the DMT experience closely relates, if #6 were true, we would meet these people from the past who are now energies awaiting our arrival..

This DMT theory has changed my life for the better, forever..

IMO, it's much more practical, real world look into the psychedelic experience.

 

The amount and scope of interpretations of DMT is only limited by the imagination, which as a whole, of all parties involved, is infinite.

 

Which only shows the infinite nature of the mind, given the fact that DMT is only one mindstate.

 

but realizing the minds infinitness only lets you realize its finitness. it can only be infinit, which is a definite state that cant be changed from infinitness, which means that its totally limited, to infinity. i dont know if i explained that right, but infinity is the same as zero. think about it, when you have all and everything finally realized, you realize that its confined in its own infinitness, thus forever trapped in a loop rediscovering the parts of it self that it forgot along the way in its quest to discover all the parts of itself. everything is nothing, and nothing contains everything. everything repeats itself exponentially, forever, upwards and downwards. so much so that at a certain point upwards becomes downwards, and you start over without realizing. really, i guess, its a false infinity, only existing because its reflecting on itself to keep itself company. put it this way, if you have a set amount of something, you can divide it in half forever, making it seem infinite, but really its all just an illusion to keep us ocupied because we got trapped in the loop of existence. nonexistence is so much easier to cope with. i wish i could go back without any qualms.

I can only say that when you are on DMT, but full blast, you are shown something so simple that we can not understand it, it is our human nature to tend to complicate everything and to think that solution for everything must be complicated. That is why we have different explanations and hypotheses, everybody's own try to complicate things. The truth is simple - YOU ARE!
Now everybody will try to complicate that saying you are:
- present in many dimansions at the same time,
- created by aliens
- God
- not God, but entity
- what you want to be
- having control of your life
- not having control
- bla bla
- more bla bla

Actually you can only cut something in half 32 times before it is broken down to an atom , but i like the rest of what you said hah

 

32 times? where did you come up with that?

i've never tried dmt so maybe i just don't know...

 

I learned it in science class hah..it works with anything apparently no matter what size it is..once you have got to 32 cuts it is down to an atom..all you can do from there is smash it and create a nuclear explosion o.0

 

i believe dmt is a tool used for instant projection of the soul into higher frequency realms of reality. look into meditation, astral travel, astral worlds, mental plane, metaphysics, theology, or anything of that sort, they report the same kind of transcending of the spirit into these higher realms.

 

the first one is the only one I like
