Why are some salvia extracts black and some are green? Is it the type of chemicals used in the extraction process that does this? And is there any way of knowing what chemicals where used to extract it with out asking the company, such as the way it looks, tastes, smells, etc? Because I know that some chemicals used are very bad for the nervous system but I can't find out from certain sources of purchase.
I thought the same thing when I bought 7x recently. The only time I had done it before that I smoked it in a blunt but it was a light green color. The 7x stuff I got was so dark green it was almost black and it smelled absolutely awful.
the salvia leaf is a regular greenish-toned leaf. however, when you extract the salvinorum, you also extract some of the chlorophyl and other compounds. when this extract is added to more leaf material (the amount to be made strong), the chlorophyl will dry atop the new leaf, making it darker. the longer the extraction takes, the more chlorophyl gets transferred
Exactly, quality salvia should always smell like herbal tea. If you recieve product that has a chemical smell of smells really bad, either swallow your loss or risk intake of harmful chemicals, I don't know about you but toxic chemical residue is not part of salvia. Know your vendor, and trust good vendors. Were out there. OneLove Kalizhada
anyone else gonna agree/disagree with me though? and personally, the smell is pretty bad pre-incineration, and god-awful afterwards. chances are youll want to clean your pipe after
Here is the salvia I get: it's actually a bit more greenish and black. Smells kind of like dried seaweed. http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/9453/dsc1060mo2.jpg
weeds salvia looks pretty usual fare. as for blunts, you can usually buy prerolled joints of 3.5X or so online, but id advise against it. The leaf is pretty harsh to smoke, and the more you must inhale, the harder it is to hold in and to get a proper hit
