So lets say i have multiple strains of spores and i intend to use alot of them. Are you not supposed to have different strains next to each other? like lets say i had a terrarium of ecuador and a strain of golden teacher stacked on top of one another is that bad?

Do you know how to grow Psilocybe Cubensis? They may be different strains but they're all Cubensis mushrooms. All the same species... not unlike weed has different strains but is all Cannabis Sativa

Doesn't really matter. Just keep lids on your bins, and your trays within the bins. Cuts down on cross contamination possibilities.

That's good to know, the highs seem to be so different. Do you think cubensis trips can be as different due to strains? If I'm not mistaken, there are lots of alkaloids in pot, but not as many in cubes, so the different strains wouldn't have as different trips as different types of pot do. Does that make sense?

Yeah it's Cannabis Sativa sativa, and Cannabis Sativa indica. Strains are various mixes and yeah, pot has a lot of alkaloids.

Mushrooms really only have Baeocystin, Norbaeocystin, Psilocin, and Psilocybin. People say different Psilocybe species can produce different trips, but different strains of Psilocybe Cubensis can be a little different too. As I've heard.

I think they do. I've had Golden Teachers, B+, Ecuador and Mexi-Cube and they were all a little different. There's no concrete way to prove that it wasn't my set & setting or my belief that it would have its own flavor though.

As far as "mixing" strains, if you're talking about making a casing of say Ecuador and one of GT and putting them in the same terrarium, you should be just fine. They may grow at a little different speeds, but other than that you should have no problems. If you're talking about knocking up a jar with more than 1 strain or putting more than 1 strain in the same casing, don't bother. What'll happen is whatever mycellium gets a hold on the substrate first will take over. You may get a little patch of the other strain, but nothing to really speak of. Usually, making new strains comes from finding a new one in the wild or doing selective breeding for mutants (as in the case of the Penis Envy series.)

And Cubes don't even have levels of baeocystin or norbaeocystin that are high enough to really mention at normal dosages. And not only that, but as soon as psilocin hits oxygen, it turns to psilocybin. So usually, when you eat some dried Cubes, it's gonna be a vast majority of just psilocybin. One more reason I think that the difference I feel in strains could be all in my head.

If you read all the posts you'd see my Cannabis classifications. Both strains of Cannabis are under Cannabis Sativa. There's also Ruderalis. Plant classifications confuse the fuck out of me. There's Cannabis Sativa indica, Cannabis Sativa sativa, Cannabis Indica sativa, Cannabis Indica indica. Fucking subspecies -_-
