its really cool you type in the name of a band and itll come up with all this music like that band. i guess its database is run off of something called the music genome project. Whatever theyre doin it works. its right in the middle between "having your music played for you" and "playing your own music" http://www.pandora.com/
I love Pandora. I've discovered so much new music on there that I would have never found otherwise because it's from bands that don't get played on the radio.
Alas... Pandora is missing a huge amount of musics... it's only downfall. Otherwise it's a great resource for music discovery! Also, for any pc/windows users there's Open Pandora, which is a desktop player with option that the web player does not have. ---------------- Now playing: Boards Of Canada - Seeya Later via FoxyTunes
I found about Pandora from a high school teacher when I was still in high school. Unfortunately, I haven't even been on that website since then, but I do think it's pretty awesome. Thanks for reminding me about it! Lol.
Dear Pandora Visitor, We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. Pandora is alright.... I used to swear by it. But, as I started to listen to electronic music I realized how much is missing!!! It's sad really!
Pandora is great on nearly all levels. For one thing, if you thumbsdown a song, it DOESN'T COME BACK ON THAT STATION. Sometimes that's a good thing, but sometimes it's an impulse and it's just not what I want to hear at that moment and I'm out of skips. I managed to hit the 40-hour limit last month and I was a saddened young music addict. reccomended station-Weezer Radio
Made a goth station & listened 2 it 4 a bit...pretty awesome but I hate the 40 min thing & that it doesn't have a counter 4 u 2 keep track. I also hate the only in America thing...hopefully they can do something about it...
