I think I am getting about $600 What would be the best thing to do with it, does spending it do something, does saving it do something? Will anything I do with it mean anything? Can I screw someone in our current administration with it any other way than donating it to Obama?
I got mine a few weeks back. I was in a minor car accident so it was enough to cover my part of getting it fixed, so it worked of perfectly. I would recomend either saving it or paying off so debt if you have it, too many people are going out and blowing it when they get it.
Bush said nothing about saving. He said the rebate was to encourage us to be good consumers. So go out and spend it on more crap, like comedian Louis Black says. .
the idea is if everyone spends it, businesses get more money=they increase production=hire more workers or buy more things=they in turn put more money/jobs into pockets of people= everyone is richer and economy=comes out of downturn putting the $600 isn't gunna help if the economy is in a recession and you no longer have a job, you'll quickly build that $600 in debt lol, not saying its a magic solution, but it should help kickstart the upbeat cycle even if in a small way
I got mine a couple weeks ago. Most of it went to eBay sellers - vintage Barbie things and such (I mean, Barbie DOES need vintage furniture and vintage clothing to go with her vintage self). I hope it stimulated THEIR pockets, if nothing else. Do you think this made Bush happy?
The rebate check is like throwing a few 'crumbs' at the people.Bush and his inbred group of merrymen are again laughing at how stupid many Americans are.And it will only stimulate Chinas economy,not Americas.
Just got mine today. I'm thinking either I might get a new phone, some new shoes, and some "reality enhancers". And maybe restock my liquor cabinet.
