I remember when the forums were truly like a family, and everbody cared for one another. and was a very hip place. Im going to go listen to some ragtime. Than some jazz. Equality with all.
I was never here at that time, but it sounds like a very wonderful place. Good music tastes, Eric, ragtime rocks
ya know, this place was my favorite thing of summer....however sad that sounds I've met some of the coolest people ever on here, this place...*holding back tears*...is like...*sniff sniff*... you all are family to me!
The only family I have during the week is right here, my husband is a "weekend"variety. And only home Friday-Sunday. I also have found that if I am a bit choosy about the threads I post in, my feeling of family grows.....staying mellow is oh so nice. teepi
Yes I remember that time too. It wasn't always perfect, but far nicer compared to the current state of affairs. It's just depressing now, most of the threads here are just bitching, pointless crap or both in one. There are a few bit of odd good stuff, those (or the hope of them) are what keep me here.
I actually dont know why im still here... heheh, this forum is an interesting thing when your here for long time. I wonder what would happen if the forums just dissappeared, i dont think itd be a big deal at all for me. Your right sage, it wasnt always perfect, but the love was noticabley present.. In progressive positivity I still love you guys, i feel like a cragged ol oak
I havent been here that long so I dont know how the old times were, but I have found some interesting things around though
I don't think that existed...since I've been around anyway. There's always someone that hates someone else. And, I am that someone.
Yeah... there's always been some kind of conflict. Then again, you can't love without conflict and argument at some point. No two people are alike.
If this place stopped existing.....I'd prolly get some work done. I feel this palce is getting more friendly, its much better than it was a month or so ago.
I love that song Big Leg Blues by Mississippi John Hurt. Fairly simple acoustic song. I've always liked playing figerstyle blues... I downloaded it... a guy who I know on a guitar forum is obsessed with him. I think it would do enough justice to call him the founder of fingerstyle guitar... him, Jerry Reed, and Chet Atkins...
