Ok, this may be a little out there but I had a really weird dream a few nights ago where I had to cut my ridiculously long dreads off, but I didn't just want to throw them away so I had them framed into like this swirl of a design and put on my wall. I'm curious, is this possible? I imagine you'd have to preserve the locks somehow..

you dont need to preserve hair, it is already dead. in fact, if you find some kind of corpse, it will still have it hair and its bones.

I know guys who used to have dreads years ago who still have them in a plastic bag under their bead or in their closet. One of my friends older brothers sometimes gets his out and throws them in my friends face to gross him out.

Another guy I know who cut his dreads off attached them to a beanie so when ever he wears his beanie, it looks like he has his dreads again (plus it makes the beanie even warmer).

When/if the day comes that I must cut mine off, I'm definitely keeping them. I was actually thinking of making a dream catcher out of them and hanging it above my bed.

my dad gots my first ones in a paper bag in his drawer. but I keep meaning to tell him to throw them away cos they were "made" with wax (!!!!) and I'm afraid I never got it completely out, and they may start getting mouldy and if he opens that drawer in a couple of years he'll find something evil inside :( but the dready dream catcher is a beautiful idea :)
