I was just curious if that played a role in determining a bad trip. Or is it mostly the set and the setting?
One can only speculate about these issues outside the realm of set and setting, but I would say that the intensity of depersonalization or "ego loss" that happens on large doses of LSD could give one quite a jolt. On the other hand, it could free them from years of being someone they're not. It all depends on the person. Some people simply can't handle the intensity of having all their deepest problems materializing before their eyes in kaleidoscopic nonsense. but the key word is "handle." If you're the type of person who likes to stay "in control" then high doses definitely impede that ability. If this is the case I would suggest that you take low doses until you are used to the drug and then when you feel you are ready to transcend and relinquish any control "you" have, then try around 1200 ug. Just my opinion!
More lsd = higher change of bad trip This is true up until you reach ego-dissolution. Usually around 20 hits, 10 if its good stuff.
I do not believe that higher dose increases your odds of a bad trip. Primarily because bad trips are not an odds game. They don't happen because you're unlucky. If someone is prepared they don't ever have to have a bad trip, small or large dose. If a person is tripping poorly, a higher dose would intensify whatever unpleasantness he or she is experiencing. But the dose is not responsible for trip quality, the person is.
I dunno, full-blown ego dissolution is a lot different than the gentle purr of 100 ug, imo. But I do agree that being prepared and "ready for anything and nothing" is very important.
More lsd = higher chance of having a great experience. but would recommend starting low and working your way to higher dosages.
absolutely. depending on purity, dosage, set, and setting. there are certain types of people who have been so conditioned to believe things about this drug that simply aren't true. "bum trip" is a word invented by the media, though. before illegalization few people reported "bad" trips. It should be noted that trips can be difficult, intense, and even frightening at times; but this doesn't mean that the experience itself is "bad." In the early years of psychedelics these "frightening" visions and sometimes extremely intensive experiences were rarely thought of as "bad." If anything these are the trips that lead one to change the most. If your mission is to get "real fucked up" then you're more likely to have a bad trip, because you're not going to be willing to "go with the flow" and accept the things that LSD shows you about yourself. That's the whole point of the thing: to change and to see things in a new way.
the content of your thoughts is never provided by a drug. However the drug influences the processing of thoughts, the focus of attention, the stability of your learned reactions. etc. so more LSD = more trip. a bad or good trip is sort of like a trip with bad or good content. so , as stated, more lsd increases the likelihood of a bad trip OR a good trip - insofar as it increases the likelihood of tripping.
good or bad increasing the level of tripping can increadse the level of goodness or badness experienced ive seeen very very bad trips on 1 hit ive seen very good trips on 30 but a bad trip on 10 or 20 can be very bsd the worse ive seeen though was on crystal wash..posssibly many hundreds of hits...and when it went bad it went very very bad. the intencity of the troip can increase the intencity of goodness opr badness experoenced
Yeah, I agree. Higher doses just increase intensity and also duration to some extent. The quality of the trip has many influences.
no. its all set+setting. best trip i've ever had was on 10 hits, i've had REALLY shitty trips with only 1-2 doses.
no, you are confused with this equation More LSD = More Fun BUT!!!! Too Much LSD = Not so much fun I hope this explains what I am thinking about. :\
