    go around the base of the siding with a pair of shears/ clippers. beware electrical/ cable wires. they all have to be rooted in dirt. (build an arbor with a placard saying "i love mommy" and grow morning glories and clematis as a gift.)

    anyway yeah, dig out the roots, ask your mom if she has any plans you should consider before planting, and then grow yourself a munchie patch.
