What does it mean if you are a top guy or bottom guy?

Obviously I'm brand new and I saw some adds that said they were top guys. Few of them said bottom guys. I was just wondering, what does this mean?

 

It can mean different things for different people. But in the "Gay world" it generally goes by this:

Top- The man who penetrates another man anally
Bottom- The man getting fucked in the butt.

 

some people are exclusively a top or bottom but i would say that most are versatile and can depend on the other person or how they feel at the time

 

Yeah, most are versatile with a preference, a few are "total tops" or whatever. There's more specific stuff, like "power bottoms", who are men who receive but are not feminine or overtly submissive. That seems to be, like, half the internet these days (which I personally think is a good thing).
