I've been singing my kids to sleep a lot since they born. I love the feeling of them laying their heads on my shoulder and just listening in silence until they are out. Anyhow, sometime when they are tired or I'm not around my two year old son will sing his baby sister to sleep, and usually fall asleep himself in the process. So cute, just wanted to share
that is adorable. you have raised a great careing son who in turn is showing his love and compassion toh is sister. WOOHOO my 3 yr old loves making his brother happy by singing patty cake and clapping his hands for him while singing to him. sometimes Aiden sits there and just holds GAbe and rocks him until he gets to heavy to hold. so cute aiden is this lean skinny lil thing and gabe is a monster comapared to aiden so its a funny but adorable sight to see
when i watched my nephews for my sister i would always sing no matter where we were. when my sister wasn't around she would call my cell. TERI !!! how did you get them to sleep and i can't!! i would get home rock and sing them to sleep and she would curse me. Those were the days!! My lil nephew will say i remember when you used to sing to us Auntie Tetee!! That put me to sleep now i'm a big boy!!
When i was little my mom used to sit on the end of the bed and read a book to me until i fell asleep.
I used to stay up late and lay on the couch when I was little so I could hear my mom and her friends sing on the patio and it'd make me sleep and when my dad was there he'd sing me to sleep or read a story. Brad and I both sing to Amber to get her to sleep and she gets fussy if someone doesn't sing to her lol
I inflicted a lot of folk on my kiddo. He's still a fan, even though he is in the teenage too cool to listen to that stuff years. (but how quickly he says yes to certain shows, still)
Pretty Boy Floyd. kid's fave night-song. Followed by Where have all the flowers Gone? noooo... I'm not indoctrinating my politics..Ok, a little.
