I am currently working on a video game I am making about drugs and I am posting this for some ideas and suggestions. Pretty much the plot of the games is about drugs in general, you can do drugs, sell drugs, or make them. By making them I mean getting the chemicals, and going to the 'school' lab and making them. Its just a little game to pass time, and Im making it with the extra time on my hands. The drugs in the game are: Marijuana, Crack and Cocaine, also Opium and Heroin. You can get addicted to the last two series of drugs. Crack and Heroin are the most addictive versions, and Cocaine and Heroin Including more expensive are the strongest versions of each drug. and all 3 types each create a different effect. Weed will just make the screen trail alittle, the more you do the more traily it gets, and crack and cocaine will make you faster on what you do, faster the more you do, and finally opium and heroin will be a painkiller, for you will be able to box and fight in the game with other people (for fun and to get cash). Drugs will go by real street prices, so marijuana will be 10 bucks a gram, cocaine will be 60 bucks a gram and so on. So the game is just about living the life of a druggie. I already made all of the sprites/tilesets and am currently working on the world. I wanted to know how should the world be? Should it be in sections or one big world? Should there be more drugs then just them ones? What else should be in the besides that? I thought maybe you can get jobs in your town for cash. Pretty much I need your help on this project, what other effects should each drug do too? Thank you. I will give credit. -Tyler Pittman
I would say add a psychedelic like shrooms or acid, and have it effect the visuals of the game. are there objectives or purposes in the game?
can you get caught? that would add a bit of excitement. it would kinda suck if you did though. you could, like, out run cops... idk
yea your drug spectrum isn't full until you get at least one psychedelic in there and e is also a pretty big one so u might consider adding that as well.
You should deffinetely add shrooms and LCD to the drug list. They would be really cool to make visuals for. If you take to much you should go insane. If you mix drugs you should be able to overdose. Its a great Idea for a game. It just sounds really hard to make.
Yeah I think running from the cops would add some extra excitement to the game. It might can even be used as a strategy game where the cops are everywhere and you have to hide in certain areas until they go away or what not. Good luck!

Don't worry about the difficulty on making the game, Its gonna be tough but i have the knowlege to do it. What would happen if you do E in the game? Like marijuana just blurs the screen, crack and coke just speed the character up (like walking and punches), and heroin is a painkiller allowing the characters health not to get knocked down in battle. I will add either one of shrooms or acid, but its gonna be a poll, should shrooms or acid be in the game, pick one. they will just make your character trip and ill add visual animations of each thing in the game like buildings and things. I already have the world finished, and Marijuana, Crack, and Cocaine and there effects done so far. Ill release a demo later on as soon as i get alittle more done. When your character gets addicted to crack and coke, he just walked slower the more addicted he is IF he is sober, making you have to do the drug for him to walk normal (well faster then normal) again. You can goto rehab in the game allowing your addiction to go away, but trust me, rehab WILL NOT be easy. So anyways, what should E do to your character in the game and any more ideas? thank you
I take it you kids have never heard of Drugwars. could this be a generation gap? though in all fairness, from what I recall that game was about surviving as a dealer in NYC, not so much being a drug user. it's cute but maybe your time would be better spent reading a book or looking at a tree or something.
^ Drug wars is alright but there are no animations really. The game that he is making sounds much better.
The demo is nearly ready, remember tho some demos arent that good so remember there is ALOT of work still to be done. I havent decided if there should be weapons or not becuase I do not want this to be a GTA clone, I might just add a pistol and make it so if you get ripped off you can use your gun.
