we've spent more money on the war in iraq then we have researching alternative energy sources IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY ALL TOGETHER.
I don't really think that research requires as much money as war, so it's a tad of a skewed statistic.
war is the most expensive thing I still think more effort and energy is focused on the war shits crazy, I kind of try not think about the things a faction of the money spent per day could do
It's okay. John McCain said it'd be over be 2013. I don't think the roll eyes smiley is sufficient for the face I made while reading that.
I find it funny how they all go on about the surge is working and all, and a couple of month ago or less there were deadly attacks in the green zone.
I'm sure I'm just a sap for it but I cried when I watched Lions for Lambs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPCbOqiVKfo
I still wonder who the people who are upset with 8 years of failed republican politics who decide to vote McCain. I wonder how much cognitive dissidence is required for all that.
Yeah, a whole lot of effort should be focused on energy. I think that one of America's top priorities for the future should be freeing itself from Arab oil as soon as possible. (and I do not mean by excavating for oil here). Yet, as I said... these are silly propoganda statistics.
But apparently $1million a year for bicycling is crazy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ip8nozp7vs8 Happy Bike to Work Day!
yes, except it should be a priority for all of mankind. we think we're so advanced, but here we are, dependant on this finite fuel, and when it runs out it's going to have cataclysmic effects on global economy.
i feel like taking a nap and not thinking about such things because when John McCain becomes president, he'll fix it all
I don't think that it's going to run out anytime soon. I just think that converting to other sources of energy will not only be cheaper, friendlier to the environment, and potentially more efficent... but it will also solve alot of the world's conflicts when oil no longer becomes a major political and economical power. I'm all about nuclear energy in the U.S. by the way, while researching other energy methods to replace it.
I think it should be a law that all kids are given bikes by the goverment to assist in the idea of alternative transportation. I think they should have classes on alternative energy, ect in public schools so people will learn how to do things differently. There are so many other ways to function other than total dependence on goverment regulated water, sewer, electric, fuels ect.
