It's been more than a week now and nobody's posted a GTA thread yet?! This is the first time I've really gotten into any GTA game beyond just driving around and testing things out. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The driving and combat seem nicely improved. Story seems slow but it's also the first time I'm bothering with stories or missions. Best moment so far: I had jacked some beat-up rust bucket and smacked it around till it started to flame a bit, then I caused a huge pile up in small underpass/tunnel. My car exploded. Then one by one, all the other cars in the pile up started to blow up in a chain reaction. It was freakn' beautiful.
I've already completed it and I'm kinda disappointed by it. It's good and all but I've got to say San Andreas was better. I completed this in less than a week and it took me about a month to complete San Andreas, even though SA was less realistic and the graphics weren't as great it still had more content and stuff to do.
I've been playing the game on PS3 for just over 40 hours now and I'm only at 60% completion. It's more fun if you keep the mindset that you are the main character and try to react the way you really would in a given situation. Me? I get blow jobs from hookers and stab them each 35 times and recover my money. Shewww, what a work out.
i agree San Andreas is alot better i played it 40 hours in the first 3 days i had it and was barely anywhere. GTA 4 has better graphics and details. i hope they make a San Andreas 2 or somethin similar that would be sick. i hope they dont make a Vice City 2. One big complaint is the soundtrack its weaker than any gta, SA had the best soundtrack. Yall should check out Prototype it looks like its gonna be how gta3 was where it just blew other games out of the water.
My husband and I love this game! It's so detailed - I mean, when you can sit at home in front of the television, playing a character who's sitting at home in front of the television . . . geeze! Hmmm. Note to self: get hubby outside more. LOL And those dancers are hilarious! ~*BA*~
If any physcedalics users are reading this.. be sure if your erver playing gta4 while tripping listen to the radio station The Jurny while youre in a car, its fucking amazing.
Haha i think me and you are on the same page man. Mushrooms here i come!! The highlight for me that made me realise how good this game is was when i was speeding along and had a head on crash with a car and heard the car's horn sound for a while, hopped out and had a look only to find the driver of the other car dead at the wheel. If you drink and drive you're a bloody idiot!!! peace
I love gta4. I was a huge gamer and I kinda quit for awhile. I started playing gta4 again and now im back to my gamer roots! yea!!!
