It's just a matter of opinion. I could take acid at an amusement park and have an absolute BLAST, while some people may see it as either a waste or a potential set up for the perfect bad trip.
I say it's a great idea, so long as the dose isn't excessive

terrible idea for a first trip. let me guess, these kids want to get fucked up and feel cool and say, "whoa dude i am FUCKED UP."

something ive learned is that you cant tell stupid people how to be smart. they have to learn it for themselves the hard way.

There are so many people around and if you arent familiar with acid six flags would be way intense.

it's not a guaranteed bad trip, but imo it's a guaranteed limited trip. it'd be hard with people and their kids staring at you to feel comfortable. If there were certain quiet secluded places at six flags you could have a place to go peak in intensity, I wouldn't be quite as against the idea.

could be hella fun, but imo acid is sacred and another drug might be more suitable, like E.

 

I dunno. I think acid would be awesome at six flags.

When I take E, Im reduced to running my fingers through my hair and saying oh my god endlessly.

think about all the random stuff going on at six flags, all the colors, all the wild things to see that you wouldn't see anywhere else, all the stuff to do. it wouldn't be the most introspective trip, but I think it would be a worthwhile trip nonetheless.

and these are just high schoolers... they are fairly new to it.

I don't think doing acid at a park like that is a waste, as I find acid has 2 facets: The serious, and the playful. Doing 1 hit or 2 brings on -mostly- the playful for me, and I plan on doing exactly what your friends are doing this summer, except at Canada's Wonderland.

 

they might have a bad trip or too intense of one if they are relatively inexperienced drug users but if they have used there fair share of things just not acid, who knows it might be a fun first trip.

 

Disrespecting the drug is not realizing that different people can use it in different ways, not just your way, and thats still OK.

Depends on dose, they should have plenty of fun on one hit. But....I got the feeling that they will not wait long enough before they pop another one and then..... they can have maybe more fun.

I mean I guess some people tend to get too abosrbed in the external forces, but I could take acid at an amusement park and not only have loads of fun, but also make many discoveries about how people are and how I am in that situation. Tripping at home and meditating or listenint to music and having deep philosophical or spiritual conversations is just as meaningful to me as tripping out and about in public. The mind static never turns off and you can learn much about yourself and God by observing other people's activities.
And spiritual trips dont always have to be so damn serious, you can connect to God and feel at one with other people by having fun with them just as easily as you can by closing your eyes alone in your room and letting your mind wander. Life is filled with ups and downs and not every trip, I feel, has to be taken so seriously as if it were a religious sacrement.

 

i would agree with that to a degree, but i feel like i can delve into my own consciousness much easier if i do not have others to talk to and questions to answer. you can really go places when your all alone tripping nuts.

 

relayer I think the concern comes from the fact that some of these kids will be tripping for the first time. An experienced tripper can probly trip well absolutely anywhere, but doesn't it take practice in more peaceful, secluded places before doing something like tripping at a theme park? If you say you've experienced the same insight at a theme park, I'll believe you, since you've tripped a couple hundred times? But is it the same for the novices? I sure as hell am not ready for a theme park on acid; of course, I don't really want to be at a theme park under any condition

 

Oh my mistake! Somehow I didnt even notice that this was going to be their first trips! Yea I would definitley not recommend it in that case, I apologize for not reading the thread in it's entirety before speaking my mind.
But yea, I love theme parks, dont care much for rides anymore but walking around in a sea of people can be VERY interesting, especially on a beautful sunny day

 

I've had a light trip at hershey park before and it was a blast, but I would never do it on a school trip and especially for my first time on a school trip.
