I don't know if this is the right forum but, I want to extract LSA, and I've never done it before. I want to use the method that needs Petroleum ether, But I have no idea where I can find some, Any ideas?
I wouldn't even bother extracting the lsa out of seeds except for soaking it out and drinking it. I know soaking powdered hbwrs in lemon juice for 30 min works. and this new tech thats as old as the seeds itself is soaking powdered mgs in water for 30 min. but you have to strain the liquid because seed mush is toxic and hurts the tummy.
it's not toxic in the full sense of the term. it's only slightly toxic. there are some poisonous compounds on the hull of the seed that are still unknown. they don't make you sick so much as distort your vision so that it looks like you're looking through the world through a fishbowl, this is called fishbowl vision, however, you can aleviate this by simply washing them in some soap and water and then rinseing them thoroughly.
I would try the water extraction first (lots of info on these posts). I've done it twice and didn't get nauseous, so it varies from person to person. I would see what water extractions to for you before messing with nasty volatile hydrocarbons.
What's wrong with fishbowl vision? I think it's kind of cool as long as I don't feel nauseous at the same time. Just lay down and enjoy.
