I love reading about the law regarding marijuana. Not only do I think it should be legal because I want some, but there are many other reasons as well (No more drugs runners, tax income, Hemp products supposedly much better than what we have now, etc.). Of course the gov't and the anti drug crazies barely have any legit arguments, but they also have the power and the opinion of the middle class voters.

My question though is about Medical Marijuana. I was just reading online at one of the sites of the anti-drug crazies that medical ganja has no proven benefits. This was a surprise!! Do any of you know personally someone whom this has benefitted. I too have read lots of stories, but I wanna hear about people you know with cancer or glaucoma or whatever that weed has helped ease their pain.

If in fact weed does help people in pain, I think it's despicable that these high and mighty assholes are preventing people from getting their medicine, because "they are just getting high, anyways."

    Thanks,
    Fawkes

There are lots of places you can find stories that are true about it. I know you are a bit cautious before buying into such stories. Though it really is true.

The fact is that it can replace many different medicines that have negative side effects, so many that it is a serious threat to the pharmaceutical industry. The industry never cared about health anyway, its been about money, and with a cheap growable source like marijuana people wont be forced to purchase loads of different medication every single month.

In my opinion holding off anyones right to smoke weed medicinal or not, is against the constitution.

Though when you have diseased patients asking political candidates like john mccain why it wont be legal. He only can respond with:"the current medication works fine." Which is a complete lie, there is one video where the patient responded saying they were allergic and mccain basically just ignored it because he couldnt come up with any answer.

If a politician ran for president and said they would try and legalize marijuana and implement the metric system, I would not care whatever else there policies would be. I would vote for them in a minute based on those two concepts.

Though it would help if this presidential candidate had a good solution for fixing the mess in Iraq, Afghanistan, N. Korea, Iran, our schools systems, our welfare systems, our hospitals, our corrupt politicians, etc, etc, etc. . . . .

I have a very bad combination of disorders for pain and nausea.

    I have
    celiac
    arthritis
    firbomyalgia
depression (organic- from the constant pain, it tears down my neurotransmitters, rather than being it psychological)

And there are only 2 things that make me stop hurting. High doses of opiates, or weed. The opiates do nothing for the nausea i experience, I treat the celiac with diet, but for the rest, the doctors have pretty well washed their hands of me. Written me off as 'untreatable' since I'm either allergic, or react badly to meds that might treat the problems. (like I'm highly allergic to ssris and maois) I've had to get past an addiction to opiates, and as much as I hate to use them, there are times when I have no choice, because i have no supply of a much milder, non-addictive medicine that lets me get through the day.

Anyone that says pot has no medical use, I'll call them a damn liar to their face, because without it, I'm an opiate junkie just to get half the relief.
