Most of the time when i smoke bud, after a couple big hits my lungs like regurtutte(sp?) and i hack up all kinds of phlegm, it feels good after the hacking is over, my lungs feel cleared out and my breathing is way better. what is the reason for this? also, when smoking a cig after being high, especially regs or full flavor cig whatever you wanna call em, it feels like chemicals in my throat and i puke up all over the places, again refreshed after the puking i hate it. is the nicotine making me naseuos or is all the chemicals in the cig fucking with me to puke?? cause sometimes a cig is really enjoyable and sensual when high but with full flavor i puke almost always.

you hack up phlegm because of bronchitis, its a sickness caused by constant smoking, you produce phlegm to protect you lungs against the bad stuff in smoke, but ends up building up and we cough it up. stop smoking and you'll stop coughing.

the chemical feel you have is exactly what you think it is, chemicals, lookup the ingredients in a cigarette, its disgusting.

I had this problem for awhile.

Do you do any activities phisically?

    Skateboarding, team sports...whatever.

The weed and coughing isn't supposed to be that bad, your holding the lighter on the weed for too long and your getting lighter fluid in your toke, just let the weed cherry once it's lit. Thats that problem cleared up.

And the ciggarette one is because smokes are nasty. Really, theres no medical term for that, you just can't smoke a ciggarette (your lucky) I have the same problem.

Having phlegm in your lungs isnt always bronchitis.

Pot acts as a broncodialator (expands your airways) and an expectorant (lung cleaner) Basically pot opens up your airways and cleans crap out of your lungs to some extent.

As for the cigs you may not smoke cigs alot and the nicotine could be making you puke.

This is why I bought a vape. Only time I smoke is when I'm outdoors with friends. If I'm at home, I'll rip vapes 90% of the time. I have to bike to work and smoking really reduces your stamina.

some people just cant handle the nicotine that much, my buddy used to barf after smoking, but eventually he got used to it. but i had that same shit with the phlegm a while back, after blazing id always cough it up like mad, but i started toking slower, drinking green tea while toking helps i find. Im a half a pack a day smoker too, for about the past 7 or 8 months, and cutting back a bit helps.

I play a lotta sports (well basketball) and I noticed that it only catches up to me if I haven't played in a while, which when I go back to playing that's when I notice my lungs are fucked.

what? lol do you have a link to that fact?

the carcinogines in pot smoke do infact impare your lungs, i know kids that havnt smoked one cigarette in there life, smoke pot constantly, and have the worse coughs iv ever seen. you know all that res that builds up in pipes? thats like 2% of what actually goes in your lungs. pot smoke has ALOT of black residue that builds up in your lungs, it by no means "cleans and opens up your airways."

I agree, a vaporizer is deff the way to go. I have terrible asthma and can't really use any other pieces because I can't handle the smoke.(Last rip I took off a bong caused me to have an attack.)

My bf is buying a Volcano in like, 2 days. I can't wait.[IMG]

as for it being a bronchodilater
    http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/552405

It was shown for short term use as expected any long term smoking will eventually have a negative impact on your lungs.

shit, i should've of named this thread weed and cigs, sense basically it is what is was about.

but i am fully aware of thc as a bronchodiolater from articles read and personal experience

that is probably why after a while of smoking cigs pretty heavy after a toke session of bud i always hack alot of phlegm up the thc is clearing my lungs out, and is why i have noticed after that happens i breath so much better.

my thought on the puking is this, when high my physical sensations are enhaced alot, and the chemicals in the cigs, that i usually do not feel in my throat when not high, are intensed and cause me to puke.
