so? in the netherlands we don't need no clothing reglementation to get proper grades.... these regulations are just meant as unnecessary restrictions on peoples freedom of expression, totally unnecessary
When I was in college I went to all but 2 of my classes barefoot. Because it was an engineering school there were 2 classes because of safety reasons that required shoes. Other than that I was barefoot all the time except if the temps went well below freezing, then I wore moccasins or flip flops. Never had any problems with professors. A couple of my professors wore flip flops to class in warm weather and would take them off and teach barefoot at times.
I've gone to school/uni barefoot quite a bit. Today was like 40 degrees, cold and rainy and I still went barefoot, albeit with a small towel in my bag to dry my feet. It does get gross/muddy/cold but my feet are as tough as leather so it's not a big deal. I've pretty much been impervious to the elements since high school.
Here is a picture of me that someone took in class. Just goes to show that I never wear shoes to school.
If we try to change focus from our self to being a member of a group. How do we as a group make going to school more popular, more accepted or more common?
i used to wear flip flops to school and take them off whenever i got the chance- i've never liked wearing shoes
