They're just more adamnant that they are open-minded.

 

Considering the fact that I (and most of the people I associatte with here anyways) think people should be allowed to do whatever they want as long as they are not harming anyone else.... Well, I do consider that to be open-minded.

(and yes that applies to being a republican, christian, whatever... i dont judge ANYONE except violent people so say what you want cause you all know everything...haha...)

 

I think when you compare that to people who think gay marriage is wrong, other religions are wrong, smoking buddha is wrong, doing drugs is wrong and judging people for doing so....

(and it's not like i judge people who DON'T do certain things... i could care less if someone has never smoked anything in their life, is a conservative christian...more power to them)

But many of those people don't give the same treatment.... feel they have to put their christian values on the rest of the world....

I never dealt with the NYPD or the LAPD... but I do think those shirts n hats n stuff are quite lame.

I don't mind the Philly police... just the asshole cops around here...

It's a fine relationship. I'm just stating, for the most part, hipforums is not "more open minded" . and would not make better cops.... Its mad easy to generalize and say most of the general population is racist and christian and hates gay marriage. But it just makes you feel better to think most other people are more of an asshole then you and youre friends.

The other day on one of my many crazy daydreams. I was daydreaming about being a cop. Dont ask me why, I cant remember and half of the things I imagine, make no sense.

I wasnt a very good cop, so I put that on my to not list :tongue:

 

i think your missing the point,, a law enforcement officer enforces the law.. it doesnt matter how open minded you are you still have a job to do..

a cop doesnt make the laws he just enforces them..

Exactly. They provoke my dislike for them, but I have done nothing to provoke their dislike for me. So, I return the distain they show me by hating the fact that they perform their "job" with no amount of objectivity. Sure, that's not all of them, but certainly most of them. The hypocrisy and lack of objectivity most of them show is the reason I can't stand them. The bad cops fuck it up for the good cops, just like with any group of people.

They arrest people all day based solely on the law, and the law isn't always right. Most cops even disagree with some laws, but they still arrest people, just because they are told to. That's some weak ass bitch shit right there. Stand up for what you believe in, and don't ruin peoples' lives just because they are doing something that the government says they shouldn't be doing. I'm not talking about murder and rape or anything like that; I'm talking about drug laws, for the most part, as well as any other crime that victimizes nobody and concerns nobody but the "criminal".

 

Yeah I know...that's why I would never be a cop.

If I was a cop n found someone with drugs I'd take a bit for myself and let them go.... I'd get in so much trouble so fast, hahaha

Anyways yeah... because I totally think anyone should be allowed to do and be whatever they want to be.... I, therefore, do not think it's right for people to try to force other people to be certain things (like cops fucking with people cause of drugs)... it's absolute bullshit...

I don't try to dictate anyone else's life and I want the same respect.

i agree, most cops totally suck balls. but there are a few decent ones out there.

That's basically all it comes down to......respect. If they show me respect, I have no problem with them, even if they are arresting me. I have had a few cops show me respect, but a lot more of them be completely disrespectful.

Last time I got arrested, it was for driving on a suspended license. The cop found my bubbler in my car, but let me keep it, and only charged me with what I actually DESERVED being charged with.
